  1. Neen, the dress is absolutely stunning on you. White...ivory...minor detail in comparison to how beautiful you look in it!!! Great dress!
  2. Hi Everyone, I'm in desperate need of your help. I feel in love with two dresses (better than two men I suppose!).....I could really use everyone's help in deciding cause they're very different from one another. Thanks! moonlight.pdf galina2.pdf Galina1.pdf
  3. Hi Teesha, Sounds as though we are in very similar situations. Our wedding is on March 18 and we havent heard anything from Landy or Lizette either. But strangely enough the spa sent me an email asking when I wanted my hair and makeup scheduled for? Our full deposit is due November 5th...and we have been on an emotional rollercoaster. My family has been really supportive and basically reassured me that we have almost 5 months for this situation to be sorted out. I also contact TICO (TRAVEL INDUSTRY COUNCIL OF ONTARIO) and informed them of the situation incase our tour operator tries to "pull one over on us." Stay strong hun and I'm leaning towards riding this one out. The Dreams team appears to be on top of trying to ensure that other brides have the wedding of their dreams, so I'm placing my faith in them. I just emailed Lizet and asked her for an explanation of what's going on. As soon as I get a response I will post it. I'm not holding my breath though.

We want to inform that we are passing through a difficult situation where Federal authorities had an agency of the Mexico federal government alleging that the ownership of Dreams Tulum does not have certain authorizations, licenses and/or permits in order. The ownership of Dreams Tulum contends that all paperwork is indeed in order and approved by the proper authorities. The authorities have placed restrictions on the resort and we are actively pursuing a court approved stay or parole in order to remove the restrictions and provide all services to our guests while this situation is decided in court. Since some services and facilities are not available and we are therefore not able to offer a Dreams Resort experience, the resort has had to proactively relocate new arrivals until October 31st. to our sister hotels in Cancun and Riviera Maya This was done in order to minimize potential disappointments should we not be able to provide all services and facilities at Dreams Tulum and only in the best interest of the guests. We will continue to relocate arriving guests until we are assured that all services will return to normal at Dreams Tulum. We do not have instructions to relocate weddings for November , except for the ones arriving at the end of October . How would be the logistic for the wedding by itself? Based on this I would like to explain you the logistic , I already have the guests list that the couple sent us We will make sure they go to the same resort so please note that the entire GROUP WILL BE TOGETHER . The couple doesn't have to deal and plan again the whole wedding , Landy , Lizet and Natalia, wedding planners have all requests and plan as requested , so the wedding planner from DREAMS TULUM and the wedding couple are going to have a meeting the day after arrival fist time in the morning , the meeting point would be the lobby of the new resort , they will make sure the weddings plans go smoothly and coordinate everything for them based in their initial requests, they are going to be also the wedding day and checking all details . We are trying to keep as much as possible your wedding plans as originally planned , we hope that we would be able to open the hotel shortly but we in case we couldn’t , we should be prepared and planned. We really need your help , we won’t split any wedding group so for that reason we need URGENTLY get your list of guests, please fill out attached form, IF YOU do not have the flight info just fill the arrival and departure date that is enough, and overall LET US KNOW IF THERE ARE CHILDREN IN THE GROUP. We will provide more information in this regard as soon as we have it. We wanted to keep you informed and truly regret the inconvenience. Please send the rooming list to me and also copy our Group Sales manager Sandra Casillar at [email protected] Kind Regards Landy Cahum Reyes Coordinadora de Bodas Dreams Tulum Resorts & Spa Tel.: 011(52) 984 - 8.71.33.33, Fax: 011(52) 984 - 8.71.33.53 [email protected] Dreams Resorts & Spas: Unlimited Luxury -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our representatives from iTravel2000 and Sunwing Vacations held a meeting to discuss this matter and they came back saying that DT was expanding (without proper permits) into the protected land nearby and possibly draining their sewage into the nearby mangroves. That would explain the intervention by PROFEPA, Mexico's environmental protection agency (see the following link for details: A Canuck in Cancun: Two Tulum Resorts Closed) Whose word are we to take? The resort that waited a month before responding to our emails or the travel agency that "hunted them down" and got back to us within two days with an answer? Though they did offer to move us to another location, we did not want to end up in the craziness of Cancun - which is a real possibility if they don't settle this soon. In the end, we sided with our travel agent and decided to move our wedding to another resort to prevent the possibility of a "wedding smell" to remember forever. We hope this helps... Tine and Rick I love how our wedding is before yours and we haven't received ANYTHING ) Gooooooooooo Dreams Tulum! Thanks so much Tine, I'm immediately emailing them and basically saying WTF?!? Without this forum we would be absolutely lost....thanks girls!
  5. Thank you ladies, you've covered all of our questions and concerns. Like most of you, without this forum I would have never been informed of the closure. How pathetic and frustrating is it to call your TA and inform THEM of these developments!?!? Rachel and Adam March 18, 2009
  6. OMG! Paradisus?!? See everything does happen for a reason...have a wicked time girl and enjoy every moment!
  7. Our wedding party leaves March 12th from Toronto and we scored a group deal (10+ people) for $1399 + tax for Dreams Tulum! We worked out with our TA well in advance as we feared that the prices would skyrocket. We received this quote in May 2008...people are now being quoted $2100+ for the very same vacation. If you have any other questions don't hesitate....best of luck and congrats )
  8. Trish, your positive attitude will bring about positive results...I just KNOW it will!!! You and Travis will have the wedding of your dreams and the marriage that others aspire to. The sun will shine if you believe its behind the clouds ) Keep it up girl!
  9. Brooke and Trish....I'm seding you hugs!! Mother effer!! My fingers, toes and EYES are crossed for you gals!
  10. The Amsale is a little prom-ish. Though it has more sparkle and texture, the Pronovias is sleek, sexy and shows of your beautiful figure. My grandma told me to pick a dress that "shows off your goods before they pass their expiration date" (I'm not even kidding)...so hunny, if you've got it...flaunt it! Pronovias ALL the WAY
  11. Morning ladies, Found this stunning pic from Jewels wedding. We are DEFINITELY going to mimic it during our photo shoot, so thought I'd share. Considering we are seriously considering a reception at the massage hut (less than 20 people) it could be quite pretty. Just wondering what your thoughts are for the large glass urns...they wont be easy to transport on the plane, any suggestions or similar alternatives? jewel.pdf
  12. Hi ladies! I've finally received a response in regards to having a small reception dinner at the massage hut. It depends upon the package you choose. Because we have selected the Ultimate package, this shouldn't be an issue. Otherwise, Lizet has indicated that there would be the $750 fee to have a "private dinner" Hope this helps, Rachel
  13. Dreamstbride, Neen posted a pic of what appeared to be a private dinner at the massage hut. Just keep in mind that it is relatively small (no more than 20 people). I have also sent Landy an email to inquire if we can reserve this for our receptions site, so if I hear anything I'll keep you posted ) As for the wiring, this may be a little tricky due to the distance they would need to wire across the sand. Maybe you could bring a laptop with a lengthy battery life and play from there...just a suggestion.
  14. I was thinking about making these seashell decorations for my bouquet: Shell Bouquet and more inspiring wedding dresses, bouquets, cakes, favors, and advice on marthastewart.com Do you think it would be an issue to bring them with me for their florist to incorporate into my bouquet?
  15. I've said it before...and I'll say it again.... WE COULDN'T DO THIS WITHOUT YOU STEPHANIE! Thank you so very, VERY much for all your hard work, organizational skills and ability to keep all us brides cool, calm and collected in moments of panic. You rock!
  16. What would I do without this forum? Seriously!! Sunbride-thank you agian for all your hard work and dedication! Neen-Can't wait for all the deets and goodies you can share with us! You gals rock!
  17. So Maura, for sanity purposes, did you delete my entry on the DT thread yesterday posting a newspaper link
  18. YEAH! Monica, I'm SO freaking glad to hear that everything went well! I know you were nervous about the weather, WC, etc. You and your DH looked stunning! Congrats again and thanks for the candid review!

I've come up with different variations for it but am sure they are all wrong. Any insight will help put my brain at ease. Photo session for your wedding small small 33.pdf
