  3. My friend who got turned on to watching Lost only last year did a very smart thing. She rented all the seasons on DVD to get herself up to date. And now she knows more about what's going on than me since it's still fresh in her memory. I'm thinking I might do this too since with all the fits and starts in the seasons it's almost impossible to remember all the details! My husband thought the funeral was for Sawyer because the officiant who was attending it said he had no friends. Plus it was in a bad part of town, and in the news paper clipping that Jack had it showed that the deceased persons name started with a J ie. James just some thoughts
  4. Hi Lenore, congratulations for an exciting year ahead of planning and your eventual wedding in Mexico! Have you been there before? You're going to love it. My husband and I planned to have our wedding in Kenmare but had to eventually change plans because certain important people just couldn't make it on my side of the family. His dad and much of his family is from Ireland. It's so amazing to me that an Irish girl would travel thousands of miles to be married over here in Mexico when all I wanted was to have my wedding in Ireland!! Certainly now it would be impossible with the Euro/$ exchange rate, so I get why Mexico is perfect! My husband is travelling to SW Ireland in a couple of weeks to lead a photography tour. Anyway, I can't go because of the euro situation but will pray to be able to return to your magical country some day soon!! Also as a past bride and a wedding photographer, remember that your wedding is YOUR day and YOUR memories. Make it a point to take care of yourself and make certain that you feel happy and joyful. It's the best gift you can give yourself. I really emphasize this when I'm working with the couple on the wedding day. Relax, Enjoy, breath and savor the amazing moment. Cheers!
  5. Congratulations! you have such an exciting year ahead:-)
  6. Last night's show was kind of momentous. After all the years of sexual tension between Jack and Kate the show's writers finally gave in to our frustration of wanting to see them together! But it happened so fast I was surprised by how un thrilled I was. I guess because you just know something is going to go bad there. I think that scene is before his melt down and estrangement from Kate that was shown on the final episode from last year. But remember, she had to get back to someone in that scene? If Sawyer didn't leave the island what could she be doing for him? I loved what someone said earlier in this thread that she's just LOST cuz, I feel that way too! I think they do this to us on purpose to get us to feel as LOST as they do!
  7. Hi and thanks everyone for your kind welcome:-) Kristie, I really love your work! The picture in my blog header was from a snorkeling trip in Indonesia. One of the most incredible places on the planet and a truly extraordinary experience to be in such a remote, pristine natural environment. I'm planning on going back this winter, hopefully I'll find a bride to photograph there!
  8. Welcome to the forum~i just joined too:-) Wow, Stockholm... that's going to be such an amazing place to have your wedding. What type of venue are going to have it in? Are you Swedish or is your fiance? Cheers,
  9. Hi all beautiful brides~ I am excited to share my knowledge about wedding photography and travel. My business is Cara Mia Photography and I specialize in wedding photojournalism with a huge passion for travel and culture. I've been photographing the many amazing places and people around the globe for nearly twenty years. My husband Brian is also an award winning travel photographer who has been published in many magazines including, Travel and Leisure, Brides and Conde Naste Traveler. We have decided to join our expertise and passion for travel to capture the magic of destination weddings. We had our own destination wedding planned 2 years ago in Kenmare, SW Ireland, but had to change the location because too many important people just couldn't make it last minute. So I understand what it takes to make a destination wedding happen! We had a gorgeous wedding in Calistoga, CA which definitely felt like a magical place far away. Please feel free to ask me any questions regarding photography or travel. We are planning a return trip to Bali, Indonesia for this December if anyone has an interest in sharing info. One of my recent couples traveled to the CinqueTerre in Italy upon our suggestion and hasn't stopped raving about how incredible it was. We are hoping to start devoting a large portion of our business to destination weddings and I'm happy to be apart of this forum to share in the excitement of making dreams happen. Happy planning! Cheers, Cara G
