  1. We are getting married just outside Cabo and have only two nights for our Honeymoon anywhere in the area. The hotel I had in mind is going to be under construction at the time We're on a super budget - the place above is around $130 a night. Any suggestions for cute little places people have discovered?
  2. The link & email for David Flores seem to be old and no longer work. Does anyone have current contact info for him??
  3. We are looking for a budget spot for our short Honeymoon and this place looks very cute - it is around $130 a night. They have two locations - I'm looking at the beach front one. Has anyone stayed there or seen it? If not, can you recommend a budget but still romantic & nice hotel on the beach in Los Cabos or Cabo San Lucas? http://www.marbellasuites.com/
  4. I am getting married about an hour north of Cabo San Lucas. I've had the hardest time finding musicians for the ceremony/dinner. Ideally, we'd like a guitarist or duo/trio to play. I've had (expensive!) quotes from Mariachi groups that can send any combination of musicians, but I cannot find independent guitar players. We just don't have $1500 to spend on music! Has anyone found a local person that is more affordable?
  5. We are getting married in a couple months outside of Los Cabos at the Hotel Palmas de Cortez in Los Barriles. Can't wait!
  6. You can book Mariachis in all kinds of combinations: Full group, trio, quartet. It doesn't always have to mean trumpets and "typical" mariachi stuff. However, I've been looking around and that seems to be the going rate per hour, slightly less if you have less musicians.
  7. I just posted this on another thread, but try Lori Makabe. She does her stuff by a package price and is very into the "Trash the Dress" session. We are using her for our wedding in May. http://lorimakabe.com/
  8. Peter came highly recommended by the hotel we're getting married at. (Hotel Palmas de Cortez in Los Barriles). I had no idea Jennifer Hatton was his daughter (she is doing our cake). His prices are good and he seems very nice (via email), but we wound up going with a woman named Lori Makabe. http://lorimakabe.com/ Her work looks great and her prices are reasonable too. And - in response to someone's comment about the "trash the dress" shoot - she is definitely into that!
