I've gotten conflicting information about Aruban laws on non-citizens getting married in a church etc. Anyone have any insight on this? Thanks so much in advance!!!!!! I've seen your question on the The Official Tourism Website of Aruba - Information for Travel, Hotels, and Reservations I'll look into this for you on Monday and get back to you. Hi mjtobin27, If you PM me with all your full name and info I will personally swing by the Renaissance and talk to the WP (Juny Jones). None of them are cheap (nothing less than $450 for an hour or 2 of boudoir work) and all have established portfolios. Now I think your spot on when it comes to choosing a photog for the actualy ceremony, reception and trash the dress session ~ cutting corners on that aspect of photography is not an option for me. Afterall, like you said, after the big day is over the memories and images are all that you'll have left to recollect the day Luckily, I'm in the process of securing of a wonderful photogtapher who at the same time is offering me a great deal!!! OK, I can see that you have it covered. Too many times I've had brides come to me after the fact that they thought they were getting a deal and it end up costing them more. Regards, Bryan Morris
  5. Did you look at your local Micheal's. I guess they might have. Bryan Morris

MarieSam, your approach is not the best approach. Yes you can get a good cheap photographer, probably one building their portfolio or photography might be their hobby and not their livelihood. From experience you get what you pay for in most cases and almost always you end up regretting your decision. So what you do is see what you would really like to have and go for it even if it means cutting back on something else. Your pictures go for a lifetime. Your cake, band, venue, food are just for one night. Get the point?? And now to answer your question... I would say between 20-40 images should get you a great 20 page book. In my opinion more pages is overkill. And yes an 8x8 is my preference a 5x5 just seem to small. Regards, Bryan Morris
  8. This resort is an awesome resort, probably my most favorite for a wedding and I've done quite a few at all resorts on the island. The beach is to die for........It's more widespread than the others, so very private. Under a palapa your neighbors can never eavesdrop on your conversation as they're quite a ways away as oppsed to the highrise area they will be able to do so. I'm not saying that eavesdropping is the usual, what I'm really trying to say is that it's very private therefore very romantic. Regards, Bryan Morris

Your photographer really captured the island. And you guys (You and hubby) look hot. Very good. Bryan Morris
  10. Hi Kathie, What would you really like to know? I've shot multiple weddings at 2 out of the three locations and might be able to answer your questions. Bryan Morris
  11. A pleasant event in your life that keeps you going back to it every time you pass there, great! Bryan Morris
  12. Congratulations, great story. Bryan Morris
  13. Congratulations and welcome to the forum. I'll give you a biased suggestion. Come to Aruba. Regards, Bryan Morris
  14. Hi Cindy, Congratulations and welcome to the forum. What are you looking for in a venue. Given your first two options, Renaissance has it's private island so it's like celebrity status where you get married and no one can really get to your wedding unless they're invited. Occidental is more open. Regards, Bryan Morris

I'm so happy to have people to talk to about the trip and the wedding who can relate. We went to Aruba this past Thanksgiving and Tim asked me to marry him on the beach the first night we arrived. The moon was shining, the waves were splashing on the beach, we seemed to be the only people out there. Tim pulled the box out of his pocket, it had a little light inside so I could see the ring perfectly, it is so beautiful. He said he loved me and wanted this to be a very special vacation and he asked if I would marry him. It was magical. back to reality... We are going to Aruba for a short trip on Thursday Feb 21 to pick the wedding spot, check out the Villas we rented over the internet, and spend some quality time together. We are going to see Bucati, Manchebo and Renaissance for wedding spots. Any other suggestions? I'll have my laptop while I'm there so I'll keep in touch and let you all know what I find. Suzanne Hi Suzanne, The three places that you're interested in are all great. Bucuti and Manchebo, especially Manchebo is a vast piece of beach. Renaissance is a private island with it's own beach as I might already know so by the end of your ceremony you should have the island all to yourself, if you're having a reception. I've shot at both locations and they're all great. If you have any other questions please let me know. Bryan Morris

If I don't have an answer for you I'll make it my business to find out and then get you that answer. By now you might be saying who's that nut and why is he being so nice.
