Does anyone have pictures of the banquet hall they give as an option for a reception?? You had your reception in the terrace right?? was it too hott or good temp?? Another question my well informed ladies How do you get to have your reception in a ballroom? Is their an extra charge for this or for the addtional people after your 20ppl which are included in the package?

Just a suggestion/FYI: I was recently a MOH to a wedding in Punta Cana DR (June 07) and let me tell you it was VERY HARD to be in the grass (she had a garden ceremony & cocktail hour) us the bridesmaids had bugs all over us and kept digging our heals in the ground. Not to mention it was SCORCHING hott. Not sure about Cancun/Dreams because like i said this was in DR. Alot of the people attending the wedding left the cocktail hour & went back to their room or lobby with the AC because of the Heat and the fact that they kept tripping with their heals in the grass.

I contacted Dreams (Daniella) about reserving a date and have yet to receive any information or confirmation on my date. Do i have to go through an agent and have them speak to them or will they book a date via email through me? I want to do it sometime in June 09 but I am scared it will book up!! Any ideas or suggestions on what you gals did to reserve your date?

Oh you guys are great thanks so much for all the advice I think I am going to have to skip Cabo and go to Cancun since like you said the flights are outrageous out of NJ. And I have alot of newlyweds and older people who are a little on the budget side. I am def. going to get on this as of today. Its official..lol Thanks again ladies Best of luck to you too!!

Re: Transportation I went through a private company and they were EXCELLANT. I read about them on tripadvisor and gave it a try on a recent trip to Cancun. Check them out they are pretty cheap as well.. Entertainment Plus - Cancun Mexico

Oh your the best with all your fun ideas.. Thats a good idea with the save the dates and i guess you just attatch the information for the travel agency.. Does this effect any deals that you get if you dont have everyone book through your agent or your hotel??

How were the prices they gave you? Do they work directly with the hotel to get everyone situated in the same area since its a wedding. I am a confused puppy when it comes to all this sorry lol I will look into it.. How did you do your invites?? And how long did you wait to send them out obviosly to give people enough time to book and save $$ for the wedding!!

I havent even mentioned this idea to my mother.. She is like yours (tlomlad) she wants me to get married in the church and have all the traditions but at the end of the day she is not paying we are so i feel she cant say anything about it. I am also considering doing the church and maybe dinner afterwards and then have the party in cancun. I know i will have alot of friends going its just family that will be shady. But at the end whoever wants to be there for me will be there no matter what. Cabo is nice but too expensive and way to much money i rather cancun. I was just there in october and stayed accross the street (go figure) i wasnt engaged yet so i have an idea of the hotel. When i was little (and my father was alive) we went on a family vacation to the same resort except it was called Camino Real at the time so i feel this will bring some nice memories along with new wonderful memories.. So ladies i guess we need to get this started i cant wait to hear the details of the most recent bride. Does anyone have suggestions on what travel agent i should go too

Hi guys, I love all the info after looking into a wedding in Dreams Cabo tammy suggested i did cancun instead for many reasons. I see alot of comments from you lovely ladies. Does anyone know what the pricing is for a 2009 wedding? Also the difference in pricing for a terrace reception as opposed to a ballroom reception?? PS why cant i open alot of the pics It saids i dont have enough points NO FAIR!! Thanks, JOanna

Yeah I figured flights would be the biggest cost Its just Los Cabos is so beautiful.. I am going to look into Dreams Cancun.

I always rent from VRBO but never Internationally. I live in NJ so we rent houses a couple times a year to go skiing in PA. What I will say is I have never been disappointed.

Well I am really interested in having something thats all there you know. But at the same time we are a young couple and we will have alot more friends then family attending which means I would like to have it in a fun hotel. Fun meaning (club shows activities of some sort) I was a MOH for a wedding in June in Iberostar Punta Cana and although all the pictures came out BEAUTIFUL the wedding was a total disaster and very costly for us the atendees and the bride & groom. So I am trying my best to prevent that from happening. What other resorts offer all inclusive packages? Also, how do you have the hotel provide you with a private room for your reception not just a section in a restaurant. Sorry I have so many questions I am just so happy to finally find a site that actually has information. Thanks so much

Hello All, Oh man I am so flustered (is that even a word..lol) I just dont know where to start. I want to get an idea of what everything should potentially cost me to see if its even worth it. I contacted Dreams and really sent me alot of paperwork which just confused me more. I am from NJ (northern, Hoboken) and was wondering if anyone knows of any actual agency we can go too, to talk to face to face and figure things out such as: best dates, costs, ideas, etc. HEEELLLPPPP..lol Thanks, Joanna

Hello everyone... I have been skimming through the threads and its so wonderful to see I am not the only one completely stressed & confused. I am looking to get married in Cabo hopefully by late 2009 (depending on pricing) I hope to get to know alot of you that are in my same boat. My name is Joanna & my fiance's name is Orlando we have been together for 4 years and cant wait to be married and start a family. With that in mind I dont want to spend a fortune on a wedding which is why I am leaning alot more towards destination. Thanks for listening Joanna
