I wanted to know this as well and tried to do some Google research. What I did read was that it was supposed to look like Cabo but was actually filmed in Malibu. There weren't any references of a resort in the credits. By all means, if someone knows differently, I'd like to know, too.

    ** Update **
Found this on imdb.com about filming locations:

  2. I don't have any pics of the jr. suites but I have stayed at the CasaMagna Marriott several times in the past few years. It's also where me & our guests will be staying in October. They are currently going through a renovation as well. I think I still have a floor plan of the suites that my event coordinator sent to me. Send me a PM if you're interested. I have no idea how to post pics on the forum. Sorry. I could dig up pics of the regular rooms, too.

Le Kliff is absolutely breath-taking. Location is just perfect and the food is so good. From their website, Le Kliff has beautiful weddings, too.
  4. bunny_4.gif I was sooo on a mission! We finally found it and laid down when a group tour came walking by. The cruise director was leading it and they were making funny innuendos about this being the "honeymoon bed". Martin said he was just glad we kept our clothes on.

Could someone fill me in on the bed? Anyone have pics? Where is it? Only heard of it a few times in recent posts. Would love to know! Tell me more, please....

Just to clarify on this pricing, as the pricing for some other salons are most likely less, but this pricing is for coming to Las Caletas. You don't go to the salon. The salon comes to you at LC.

They definitely should do something to accomodate your guest and probably will without any recourse. I am a vegetarian and having my wedding at Las Caletas and they're providing a veggie lasagne in addition to the other choices for dinner.

I also do a lot of meeting/event planning for my job and it's never been an issue at hotels or restaurants. Typically ends up being a pasta dish. You'll most likely have to point out your guest or have something differentiate to notify the staff as to who gets the special dinner.

    1. Sebastian Hair Salon - they do a great job and they have a fairly large team of people - the only problem with them is they get booked a few months (normally) in advance. I found a little blurb on them here: Sebastian Hair Salon

    2. Elle Salon. 138 Rodolfo Gomez. 322-223-2760.
[email protected] (ask for Raquel - she's the owner). I go to Elle for my toes (my hubby is a stylist so he does my hair - I know, lucky me!), but I know that a lot of brides do show-up there for their hair/make-up.

Both of the salons offer packages for hair tests as well as hair on the big day along with pedis and manis.

    Hope that's helpful!! :)

Nicole, WC from LC, had let me know that she was going to be working with Sebastian Salon. Glad to hear good things about them, as I will be using them in October.

Because, being a big Italian family, there's always a bit of drama at family dinners and such. Normally, I just sit and watch, but at my wedding, I get to tell them to put a sock in it. Mmmmmm... so sweet...
Wow - you're a good person to be prepared for this. And for allowing him to come.

I have a somewhat similar situation in which one of my girl friends, who has been having an affair with a married man for 6 years and he wants to come to my wedding. He has not even left his wife - and he has 4 kids with his wife! I told my girl friend - who is still married but finally left her husband last year - that the boyfriend is not invited and I'm not comfortable with him coming . She has to come alone because even though she's still not divorced, I don't want her husband coming either. The boyfriend says he'll have left his wife by the time my wedding comes around, but my friend is nuts if she believes that - it's been 6 years!

Anyway - good luck with your situation. Sounds like some seriously juicy drama.

Yes - a lot of the pics do start to look the same - ha ha ha. But still can't get enough of LC!

That is a good question about the fires, though. Perhaps that's something to contact the Visitor's Bureau about how often and when they take place.
  10. I, love love love the Bliss products, too - especially the ones you mentioned. I still need to try the Sleepy version of the Fat Girl Slim, though. Best facial in town, if you ask me. Their spa in Dallas is one of my favorites, too!

  11. Not sure if any one else heard this, in particular the LC Brides, but I received word from Nicole earlier this week that she will no longer be working with L'ococco. Professionalism wasn't their forte.

Too bad, too, because I had my trial run with them in April and will now have to use another salon to come out to LC. While I wasn't thrilled with the make-up, my hair turned out great. Hopefully the next salon of choice for LC will work out.

Sunset was definitely after 8 pm some time. I do remember when our flight landed around 8pm, there was still sunlight. But exactly when the sunset hit, I'm not sure.

This is handy too: Calculate Sunrise, Sunset, Moonrise, Moonset - The Old Farmer's Almanac
But use a city in line with PV in Mexico - like Odessa, TX

Also, they do follow the states with Daylight Savings, plus they're on the far end of the Central Time Zone. If you go up into Nayarit, it's Mountain Time.
  13. It's been a few weeks since I've been back from PV and I've finally updated my personal blog with pics and outline from our trip and site visit to LC. It's not exactly what you have read here because I'm still a hack at this forum and can't post pics, etc. Plus, I send my blog to my family and friends all over the country. Two birds, one stone.

And I know you all love pics, so if you want to see the pics from our PV trip back in September, they are also on my blog:

    Enjoy!

  14. Vanessa, I just got done looking at your wedding pictures - absolutely beautiful bride, wedding - everything! Thank you so much for sharing. Every picture I can see of LC gets me more excited for my wedding in October. Can never have enough pics of LC!

We were in PV in April and had our site visit and couldn't be happier with our choice of location for our wedding. We stayed right down the road from the Westin at the Marriott - where we've stayed several times before when visiting and it's always been busy. As we've noted on this last trip, it's in need of updating but it's well maintained. The one afternoon we sat in the lobby (very breezy spot - perfect for people watching) and watched the floor being thoroughly waxed. Given we were waiting for our taxi to the airport and nothing else to do, but they maintain everything there. Fortunately they'll be doing a renovation starting any day now.

Again, thank you for the pics and Congratulations!

Personally, I'm having my welcome dinner at Barcelona Tapas. Great food. Do know they only take cash, AmEx or travelers checks. Have been there several times, never disappointed.

Also, on my last trip down there last week, we went to Hacienda San Angel. The most amazing food and location! Just gorgeous.

  16. Great pics, Rachel! Perhaps I missed it, but did you ever do a formal full review? Just curious. I love your pics and your commentary is even better. I was laughing out loud and had to repeat to my fiance, which got even more of a chuckle.

I'm heading to PV on Thursday for our LC site visit with Nicole! We've been to PV several times, but I suspect that this trip will be different. Trying to get everything organized with the wedding details.

I'm using the same salon as Ann, LoCocco, for my hair and makeup. Nicole made the appointment for me and they'll come to LC the day of the wedding, too. There are three locations in PV, not sure which one I'm going to though.

We're leaving Thursday to do our site visit on Friday at LC and Saturday afternoon is my trial run for hair and make-up. I've already been to MAC to have my make-up done, bought all the products, so they can re-create the look. I'm bringing pics of my hair style, too.

CAN'T WAIT TO GET TO PV!!!!
