  1. Seriously!

But no I can totally put myself in their shoes, as I have a few pets of my own and can totally understand them for needing to bring them along. My MOH's 2 pugs I guess you can say are spoiled rotten..lol, but they also can't be left alone in the house. And I know she would never consider leaving them in a pet hotel sad.gif. My Bridesmaid's shitzu was recently adopted from a shelter. She was physically & mentally abused before by her previous owners, so she is still VERY AGGRESIVE & DANGEROUS. I feel so bad for them both cause they're really worried about how inconvienient this is for me sad.gif. I love them both for their dedication towards their pets, but I'm really having a hard time with this one...hmmm

  3. I'm having my wedding at El Dorado Royale in Riviera Maya. All my guests are staying with us, except for 2 people from my bridal party. My maid of honor has 2 small pugs that she wishes to take with her to Mexico. And also, one of my bridesmaids has a small shitzu that she needs to take with her as well. My resort does not accomodate pets of any size. So we're having some trouble with this one. Does anyone know of a nearby hotel that they can stay in with their pets. I'm thinking it might not have to be within the RM, just as long as it's close enough where they won't be running late the day of my wedding..., please help.

    TIA,

OMG!! your pics are so cute shannon..haha, that song is perfect for it too. Your decision for not doing a bouquet toss sounds great. I might decide to do the same thing too. Thanks.
  6. Hi ladies,

I'm just curious to know more about the casita's at EDR. FI and are planning for 8 nights in either a regular casita or individual casita. Can someone share their insight on them. Im wondering if there is a particular "section/block" of casita rooms that have turned out better than others? Do to location, atmosphere, privacy, service, etc...

EDR Brides, please share your expeirences and/or knowledge of them. Thanks!

It is helpful to have to put towards any of those things. I had my TA book my hair appointments and my massage. The WC will but you have to pay when you pay your bill 30 days prior when doing that. We had resort credits and cash from the gifts purchased from honeymoonwishes.com so we just paid at check out.

Cool, yeah we're doing the same thing. Question, in your registry, did you post $$$$ contribution, or actual activites & gifts for your guests to choose from? Right now we have $$$$ contribution as an option, but we kind of feel like this is too straight foward about the whole thing. Any suggestions about how to go about it? Also, should I go through Lomas for picking things? smile35.gif

  9. Quick question for all Riviera Maya or EDR Brides on here,

How exactly do you go about booking things such as spa treatments, hair & make-up appointments, massages, and your honeymoon activites/excursions..etc? My FI & I are with honeymoonwishes.com and we're trying to post our gift wishes on the website for guests to purchase for us. But we're having some trouble deciding where to look. Would it be Lomas Travel? If so, I noticed they don't offer many options. FI & I would love to go horseback riding and maybe go snorkeling too, but I didn't see these options on Lomas. Is there another group of professionals that I can work with? How did you make your arrangements? And did you book ahead of time or while there? popcorn.gif

  10. O.k, so I am very DIY challenged, but I managed to create a monogram and logo for our luggage tags on powerpoint. I'm just not sure how to save the actual picture so that I can use it throughout my wedding. I've never worked with powerpoint so I really don't even know where to start. I can't seem to save the entire picture. When I click on it, it either highlights the palm tree, or the text within the palm tree...please help sad.gif

We very much prefer our guests to stay with us at EDR. This will allow us to spend more time with one another during the week doing fun things that are not necessarily wedding related. We all know how weddings are, they come and go so fast, and sometimes you do not have time to visit with all of your guests.
However, some people may choose the option to stay at a nearby resort for a variety of reasons.
I would like to point out that in choosing this option, please explore the options heavily first. While it may look better financially, there will be the cost of travel between your hotel and the EDR both ways. As well, to be on the grounds of any All Incusive hotel, all guests entering a hotel they are not staying at are required to pay for a day pass. That also applies to EDR. So for each day you choose to visit with us at EDR, there is a day pass fee of ____$. If you are consideing choseing an alternate hotel, please speak to myself or ____ so we can help you weigh out your options.
I do believe all guests who would stay at EDR will love it. In researching the different hotels in the Mayan, we felt confident that the rooms, reagrless of class, are all amazing and well appointed. We felt that there were many daily acaitivies to allow you to create the vacation you want , and we felt the abundance of restaruant and bar choices would suit everyones needs!

    Something like that ........................

Thank you so much for this BandE2008! I am def. posting this on my W.W.
Hopefully guests will respect our wishes and see that booking with EDR is in fact the best option. Thank you once again smile159.gif.
  12. So I am now trying to put together Playlists for the Wedding Day, but I don't even know where to start. Can someone please give me the breakdown of how I should start. I need to know the basics like what is a recessional song, processional song..etc. Is anyone willing to share their ideas and/or program pics. I'd also like to create a CD with fun music for our guests that we can put in our OOT Bags. How can I go about dong this? Has anyone done this?

    TIA,

  13. Guys, I'm having quite a situation with some of our guests. Many of them want to stay at another resort and purchase the day pass to come to our wedding. But I was told that we were only allowed to have no more than 5 guests stay elsewhere. I feel this is very inconsiderete on behalf of EDR. I mean, it's not like I can force my guests to stay at EDR. Honestly, even the most affordable rooms at EDR is pretty expensive so it's totally

understandable. I mentioned the 5 ONLY thing on my wedding website but I guess it didn't work. wtf.gif. This has me so worried and feeling bad for some of my guests.

What have your expeirences been with this at EDR?
