    Advice?

Welcome and congratulations! this forum is chuck full of advice and ideas. happy planning!
  3. Hi Erica, i didn't put a detail page when i sent out my STDs. I'm including it in my invitation. SO funny, some of our family members are computer challenged too (HAHAHAHA). It's kinda annoying b/c we worked so hard on that darn website that it's a shame if people don't read through it, and keep on asking us questions that are clearly answered there. Anyways, here is what we are going to put: Event Details For detailed event information, visit John and Leia - wedding website by mywedding.com Travel Information To book hotel and airport transfer reservations, please contact Tammy Wright – [email protected] 888.471.1950 Ask for the ... wedding room block Airline group discount code coming soon! Please book your room no later than March 1, 2008 BTW, i'v decided to use prim and pixie b/c of how cute your STDs turned out!
  4. For those who already got married...how long was your ceremony? And in retrospect, was it too long or short...would you have incorporated more readings, ceremonies... The reason I'm asking is b/c i want to incorporate a few cultural traditions in my ceremony. I emailed my tentative ceremony to the officiant that i will be using (John Fagan), and he said it might be too long (est. 40 min). Any advice...
  5. I'm planning to have a low key bachelorette party in Cabo w/ my BMs and maybe our moms too. Any suggestions on dinner and things to do before or after??

One of my bridesmaids had her nails done and hated them.. mine were ok. I've heard other bad stuff about their manis/pedis too. Suzanne Morel it is!!!

Do you think that if i ask them to play traditional wedding music during my ceremony (ex. cannon d...) that it'll sound weird. I'm hiring a mexican trio.
  11. thanks for the tips. i think i'll just let them know that i want romantic, soft music during cocktail hour and maybe a few requests like hotel california and girl from impanema. Edna, i just youtubed some of those songs and loved them! it's perfect for the ambiance i want to create.
  12. I'm having a trio play during cocktail hour. For those that had a trio too, did you have a specific playlist you gave them? If so, do you mind posting it. Or did you just tell them you wanted a specific style of music (jazzy, classical, mariachi-ish...) and left it up to them to play whatever?
  13. Welcome and happy planning!

  15. We PLAN to do a choreographed dance to Jack Johnson's Better Together and then transition to Michael Jackson's The Way You Make Me Feel. Our inspiration is this youtube video: YouTube - Wedding first dance w/ surprise Jack Johnson Michael Jackson We thought it would be hilarious and get people pumped to dance. I hope we don't chicken out.

I can't remember if they had roulette.. Sorry I can't be of more help since we didn't participate. Thanks for the info. BTW, your siggy is so cute! You guys look like a fun couple!!!!
  17. I'm trying to put together my ceremony...and want traditional wedding music. i've hired a Mexican trio. Do you guys know if they play classical music (ex. canon in D...) and does it sound good? How about timing for the music...for the wedding party procession and the bridal procession? How will I know the song won't be too long or short??
  18. Did anybody host a Casino Night @ Dreams? What games did they have available? How was the set up?
