  1. I'm in exactly the same boat and I would love to read that Word doc for some ideas but the site says I don't have enough points!!! Could someone please please please send it to my mailbox (would that work)? Thanks~ Can't wait to read it.

Guess I'll be back in a bit with a similar post to yours...just can't help myself!
  3. I think it looks great...short and sweet. I'm sure people will figure out that the resort needs to know.
  4. Dear future SIL, Do NOT tell me that you're not coming because your 6 year old son is too young to travel...do not tell me he'll "forget and drink the water and get sick" or that he can't swim or that he's too young for a Hep A shot. He dosen't need the damn shot anyway!!! Don't tell his 12 year old sister that she dosen't get to go to Mex because of him. It's you! You and your controlling husband are so afraid to step outside the box, why don't you just try to live a little?!? I am so mad at you for not telling your parents; I'm mad that I had to do it because your mom was wondering when I was going to ask you to be my BM...somehow I'm the bad-guy now. If you don't want to come, I don't want you there. Dear future MIL, HIS EX IS NOT COMING BACK. CAN'T YOU SEE HOW MUCH HAPPIER HE IS NOW?!? THERE'S A REASON HE NEVER ASKED HER TO MARRY HIM. Dear future FIL, I'm sorry that you wish the wedding was going to be in town, but its not. I'm sure you will feel differently when you're standing on the beach at Las Caletas with a rum and coke in your hand. Dear BDWF, much better. Thank you! Dear my precious FI, I can't wait to see you tonight!
  5. Holy Cow, I was so worried for a sec there!!! So glad it worked out, and your new dress is beautiful! $600?!? I bet you saved money.
  6. You have come to the right place Gina! Happy planning!
  7. Wow Kelly, those are AMAZING!!! I can only imagine what the pics you couldn't post look like... I bought my dress a couple of weekends ago and it looks alot like yours. I'm happy to see it in action: beautiful!
  8. Most certainly. Especially with that amount of tylenol you have to be careful; it's a sure-fire quick fix when facing a migraine though.
  9. I'm a migraine sufferer as well. As soon as I feel the tingling start (sometimes even sooner... you know... somehow your body just knows something is coming) I take 800 mg of ibuprophin and 1000 of tylenol. Sounds like a lot, but it really does the trick. I've taken imitrex alot, and it works too, but it is a pain to administer (shoot up the nose or needle) and it is also very expensive. Try the combo; it changed my life.
  10. It is important to me to have an AHR because I feel like we (inadvertantly) alienated a lot of people by having a DW (wish we could get grandmas to come!!!) ... that said, I am concerned about cost and logistics too. I love the idea of showing a slideshow of the DW~excellent idea!!!
  11. Hi TJA, I'm getting married at LC in May too! Read all the posts you can because they really help you get ideas lined up for the big day. Seems like we have lots of time but I have a feeling it will just fly by... SO EXCITING!!!
  12. Yay! Hello my fellow Las Caletas brides! My name is Nancy and I'm feeling a lot less overwhelmed now that I've found you.

    Hi Everybody!

Thanks for the warm welcome. I feel like I already know most of you because I've been reading this site ALL DAY LONG. Your pictures are amazing and the support you offer is just the best! We don't have a date nailed down, we're pretty flexible. Looking forward to sometime in the first week of may, right after I finally finish school (double whammy...party-time!!!). At first we shied away from Las Caletas because of the cost, but when you get down to it, it looks to me like you get a whole lot for the money spent (a wedding of the same merit would be ten times the cost up here)... not to mention we were in Caletas over New Year's and fell in love (it was my third visit, I wanted to show Jason). Everything we have looked for since in an attempt to save some money has been pointless because we just compare it to Las Caletas, and really, there is no comparison.
