Is everyone having an AHR. I had no idea about these until I joined this site. I'm getting married in July 2009 with close family and very close friends in Turks and Caicos. My FH and I are then getting married in my local parish anywhere between August and September. We are just having our parents, grandmothers, siblings, and 2 of my aunts and cousins going to this Church wedding. Then we will be going out to dinner. Nothing fancy, and as far as i know my FH and I are most likely paying for this as well. Do we invite the people who couldn't make it to our wedding in T&C to this Church/Restaurant wedding? We were considering not telling anyone we were doing this. I guess it depends on how much money we have/will be making. So what's the etiquette?? Thank you all so much!

Hi everyone! Can someone explain to me what a legal and civil ceremony is (the difference) sorry if this is a stupid question i just don't know what to do. I'm getting married in Turks and Caicos in July'09 and since im a Catholic i want to get married in my Catholic Church (in NY). My mom also really wants this for me as well. I don't know whether to get married before July '09 or after (my fiance wants to do it after) will it be recognized in the Catholic Church if its after?? is that the legal ceremony? and the civil will be in Turks and Caicos? I have never been so confused in my life!! is anyone else doing this?? thank you so much for your help!!

The wedding planner actually e-mailed me today and sent me so much info. I just need to sit down with my Fiance and discuss a budget.

That's good to hear! so you called the resorts and asked about wedding packages? Because I called and e-mailed 2 wedding Planners (companies) that work in Turks and Caicos..no answer yet.

My Fiance and I are pretty sure we want to have a Destination Wedding in the Turks and Caicos. Just wondering if there is anyone on this forum who was married there?? Thanks!

I love blue as well. I was thinking just adding a pale yellow or a cream color. I think it would look really nice!
