About the $$$$ some people say that 2000$ per person wedding is expensive. Do they not know that the wedding is one day and that the rest is a vacation ! My wedding cost 1600$ per person. Imagine a couple spending on a typical Montreal wedding for their friend : wedding couple gift (250 to 400$) hair for the girl (60$) Manicure + pedicure (75$) new dress + shoes for the girl (200-300$) maybe a new suit for the guy (200$) having the car washed (15$) Ok, I have to agree that this is much less than 3200$ canadian but you don't get to be in Riviera Maya for a whole week!!!!! This topic is very personnal and no true answer would be right... wrong You can't (in most cases) expect that people would pay the total cost of a vacation...the wedding is only one day ! This is just my opinion.

The decision of the cake is hard to make...chocolate lovers? vanilla lovers? both? Having a beach wedding means you will probably not see or taste your wedding cake before the wedding... Shelley, I totally understand you ! 1st, it was only suppose to be our parents and us (and my 2 dayghters). Then my mom had a "small" fit and wanted me to invite my brothers... so I did ! Then both of them say it is too expensive. I waited for their answer before I reserved the hotel and guess what, waiting cost me 1400 $ (Canadian) ! The prices went up by the time they game me their answers. Then, one of my FI friend said he wanted to come. FOr the past few months he was still coming so just to be on the safe side, we invited all our friends...all want to come but they say it is too expensive ! What it is thses days with people ?? They want to come and then when you say they have to pay for their trip, they back out #$$%$$#. One week at dreams Tulum is only 1600$ (This is just before the holidays too!). Do they think a 1 week vacation at a 5* hotel is 800$ ?? The worst excuse was : why get married in December? Can't you do it at the end of January when I am fed up of the snow? I just answered that I picked the date because that is the date I wanted...just before the holidays since I just love that time of the year...so magical ! When our friends said they were going, I started to imagine a wedding with all of those people around me... Now, I am back to our 1st wishes...just the parents + my kids. All this to come back to point A. But my mom is paying for my brothers airfare so they will need to just pay for the room. They are still complaning because they each want their room (they are adults by the way) ! If you say you can't afford it, don't be picky about it ! Being single in a room is the same price as being 2 !!!! And what is the problem about sharing a room to save a 800$. I would of loved to have two rooms...one for me, one for my kids but the price was 2600$ more !!!! We all what luxury but we all can't afford it... just venting here...getting the frustration out...I see I am not the only one..

It must be more the salt water than the pool because I have gel nails + a pool and the nails are ok... But there are different types of gel ... so I could be wrong here!

Shelly, I would suggest you have your nails done 6 + 1 day weeks before you leave. That way, your naturel nail will be use to having the gel. At 1st, you should go and get the refill every 3 weeks (that is why I wrote 6 weeks) Have them done at least 3 times before you go ! They will look much better and more naturel looking. Also, you will by then be use to having them so they won't be any chances of you "chipping" one. Worst comes to worst, bring nail clue, sometimes you can save a nail by putting some on (usually on the sides) before you totally loose it (the nail ...of course!).

The more I read about Los Cabos, the more I can't wait to go ! This year is the wedding trip, next year Walt Disney ( I promise my girls that we would go ...
