    Lisa~

It's not AS bad as it sounds~ yes, it's hard to sit there and not eat, but that's why they have the appt. early in the day! Try to sleep as long as you can so you're not up wanting to eat! They'll make sure you're OK and not about to pass out or anything.

And, if you do end up having GD, that's not the worst thing in the world either. As I sit here with Austin sleeping in my arms, I can tell you I would've put up with GD the whole 9 months to get him!! You'll soon know what I mean! :)

    Hang in there!

  2. So today I had an open house for my lia sophia jewelry business, and it was a total FLOP!! sad.gif My neighbor is doing purse parties, and she had her purses here too. We had 3 people show up! We both sent out TONS of e-mails. I had a few other people say they'd be stopping by, but didn't. Usually when I hold this open house (every catalog change I do a "Last Chance/First Glance" open house- with the discontinued items and new items), I end up submitting a show for July (the old stuff) and August (the new stuff). This time- only 1 $41 order. It sucks because I haven't done much since my last month of pregnancy, and was really hoping to get the business going again. Oh well, at least my livingroom is clean now!

  3. Such cute pix, Ann!

Have you gone to her 2 month check-up yet? Austin's is on Aug. 6th, and I'm not looking forward to the 4 shots he's getting!! How big is Gwen now? It's just amazing how fast the time is flying!

  4. I play in 2 groups, and we meet once a month.

    1. where you meet (house, restaurant, etc...) Each person takes a turn hosting (so we host once a year). If you're the host, you provide food, table snacks, and a "Bunco Bag gift" (the last person to get a Bunco that night gets the bag.)

    2. what night do you play? One group is second Tues. and the other is 4th Monday.

    3. Do you have different themes each month. We don't do themes

    4. Do you play a unique way? Not sure how you play, so not sure if it's unique??

    5. What other creative things does your group do? At Christmas, we do a $5 ornament exchange~ it's pretty fun.

We put in $6 every time. Most Bunco's gets $20, Most Wins gets $20, Most losses gets $10, most aces (1's when we're not on 1's) gets $10, and the extra $12 goes into a "split" envelope. If you get 9 wins, and 9 losses, you split. You win the pot if nobody else splits that night. If nobody splits, or more than one person does, it goes to the next month. One time I won the split pot and it was around $125.

  5. I just bought the SD750 last night. I had the SD1000, but dropped it last weekend! sad.gif They told me it would be around $130 to fix it, so I figured I'd spend an extra $70 and just get the new one. I also bought the extended warranty this time, which covers if it is dropped!! Before the SD1000, I had almost the exact same one (can't remember the #) and it fell when someone set the timer on it and left it on a ledge! I got some great fireworks pix tonight with the special setting on it!

    Enjoy your new camera!

I had to wait until this appointment because of the C-section. I think after a vaginal, you don't have to wait as long. Although, since you can't use tampons for at least 4 weeks (depending on what your doc says), it might be the same.

I don't think they necessarily "measured" the lips, it was just that they had to see it, like I said, it was part of that checklist of things they needed to see. I'm sure that's the reason you're going back~ since the kidneys are on the checklist, and he didn't cooperate when it was time to see those.

As for classes, I meant to go but didn't. When I found out I'd be leaving my classroom early, I got really busy with planning for the rest of the year for the sub. When I finally got around to calling about the class, it was too late. However, the lactation consultant I was talking to about it told me to go to the website: See What You Read || Home. She told me this is where they get their videos that they show in the classes. We looked at a few of them on there.

P.S. I go for my 6-week checkup today! I'm hoping I get the OK to get in the pool!! I'm needing a tan big-time! :)

    Good luck!!
Thanks for those tips! They're in the water now!

So I just had to look up the thread about how long to make hard boiled eggs, and saw your response "I'm not a cooker". So, if you're saying it's easy, hopefully I can do it! :)

  10. Today is Kevin's 30th birthday, and we're having family over for dinner tonight. My friend made the best red-skin potato salad Saturday night, so I'm trying to make that. Wish me luck! I have no idea how long I should be boiling these potatoes, how I should cut them, etc.! I really hope it turns out, but I'm a little nervous! Can you tell I don't cook often, and when I do, it's easy stuff!

  11. Martha~

When I go back in the fall, I'll be job-sharing. You might want to see if any of the districts offer that. I'll be teaching mornings, from 7:15 to 11:07. Of course it's half the pay, but it's better than nothing! I'm also hoping to book more lia sophia (home party jewelry) shows to make up for some of my income! Good luck! I'd love to be home full time too!

  12. Lisa~

I looked at some of those same bedding sets! Got our furniture from JC Penney. Did you see my thread with Austin's nursery? The paint color seems very similar, and I think his bedding set would look good in there too! It's from Target.com and called "transportation". I love all the different colors in it (there's a lot you can do with so many colors), and I can already tell Austin likes being in there too!

P.S. You do look very cute! I don't remember looking cute! Just remember the end with my HUGE swollen legs!
