I'm not one for meetings each, but I found it was very hard not to cheat on the online WW....it's not like you have someone else to keep track of you weighing in, ya know? :

we have 2 guests who weren't actually invited either (my uncle's gf's sister and mom) but we're still giving them oot bags...what's one more? ya know?

...for my Scottish dad to wear a kilt to my beach wedding in Mexico? lol

I told him to leave it at home and he can wear it to my AHR if he wants but not to my wedding...I know it's part of our culture and tradition but I just think it would look odd

 

I really hope he wasn't offended!! hehe

I sent out formal invitations but didn't put anything about cost...after the invitations went out I sent everyone a link to our wedding website and kept updated prices on there.

I booked my date with the Barcelo right away, they didn't tell me I had to wait or anything.

We're going to Lula Lounge for the salsa lesson and then hopefully heading over to Cantina Charlie's....or maybe if we're feeling a little more laid back we'll just hit Rack n Wack or something

lol clubs in cambridge? no such thing our very last club shut down last month

and no way to convince my sister - we both work shift work and that's the last weekend before the wedding that we're both off


thanks girls - i know it was crappy on my nana and aunt's part to not check with us first but that's the way they are, so i guess i'll just suffer through hehe and try not too feel too bad about it

i think this might be cheesy but it's just about the only thing i could come up with...

 

use cardstock for the front and back, punch 3 holes up the sides and secure it with brads so it's really like a book...

 

i really do think that's cheesy though

my nana and my aunt are throwing me a shower...they had originally planned it for the 17th of february but for whatever reason they changed it without letting anyone know (until after they sent out the invites)

 

well everyone got their invites to the shower and found out that the shower is on march 4th (which is also the weekend my sister had planned to throw my bachelorette - and my aunt and nana knew that)

 

well instead of my sister moving the bachelorette to another date so we wouldn't be hung over and gross for the shower she decided that she's throwing the bachelorette the night before the shower so everyone WILL show up hung over and gross just to piss my nana and aunt off...

 

i really don't want to be feeling like crap at the shower - and i'm not always the nicest person to be around when i'm hungover...

 

but i also can't wait for my bachelorette - it's going to be a friggin blast (dinner at one of my fave restaurants - with the biggest tequila and margarita selection you've ever seen, salsa lessons at a latin club and then we're heading to another club and then got a few hotel rooms to continue the party after we shut the clubs down )

 

but it's not like i can politely back out of either one of them

and i know my nana and aunt are gonna be pissed at me if i'm a complete wench at the shower because i'm a) still drunk or puking down the side of a sofa

 

and there's no way i'm not enjoying myself at the bachelorette just to save face at the shower

to be honestwith you girls though i'm not overly concerned...if i get questioned about it i'm just gonna be honest and say i'm giving them to my wedding guests...i mean i'll have my wedding dress right there, ya know?


i think it would be different if you had like 3000 bottles of sunscreen or something hehe but 40 or 50 i don't think would raise *too* many eyebrows, especially if they know you're going down there to get married.

oooh i saw those when i was searching for my invitations...they're so beautiful!! i wish i could have justified spending the money on them!

We paid around $800 for his band...but he absolutely loves it!

My skin actually didn't look that white, I think it was the lighting in the salon, not so great!

I used a tinted moisturizer as my base and it was actually quite a bit darker than my actual skin tone because I'm so pale (and I'm tanning before the wedding), and a bit of bronzer on my cheeks. The picture doesn't really do the makeup justice

Nope I'm having my sister do it for me She's amazing at makeup and the esthetician who did my makeup today showed my sister how she did it and all the colours she used. So we're going to have a few practice runs before Mexico and all should be good

i'm really happy with the way it turned out and FH says that i looked "stunning" when i came home...he couldn't stop commenting on how good i looked (although i don't usually wear makeup so this was pretty different for me)

 

but the only decent pic i have is this one...

 

 

you can't see the shimmer or anything and i look like i have a mustache lol

oh and she really really filled in my eyebrows so i'm gonna have to change that for the wedding too....i don't like bushy looking eyebrows!

 

 

and my hair was totally sucking today lol

I do have to say this though, I'm not sure if it's the same resort but my parents and sister stayed at the Grand Palladium Kantenah a few years ago and said it was beautiful - their only complaints were they couldn't get into the a la cartes for dinner any earlier than 8pm and the pools were deep (ie. you couldn't get from the swim up bar to the jacuzzis without trying to swim with your cup between your teeth )

It's totally indoors but they set it up really nicely.

I think maybe if you want something open air they can set aside part of the disco for a reception (before the disco opens)
