  1. oh honey you're going to need to start drinking heavily if you're 7mths away and already having so many nightmares lol

just joking...totally normal....even FH had nightmares!

i don't have so many nightmares now, more just regular dumb dreams...nothing bad happens in them, they're just about the wedding

  2. I wanted to do something extra special for my Mom because she's been such a huge help through everything so I bought a gorgeous hanky for her and am having it embroidered with "To dry your tears, as you've dried mine, through the years" and our wedding date. I'm going to give it to her when I get down the aisle, and I think I'm going to get them both a g/c for a hotel and casino when they get back so they can get away on their own for a weekend.

Then we'll be buying albums and putting our wedding photos in them for my parents and for FFIL.

FFIL is getting his outfit for the wedding bought for him because we know he'll show up in some god awful suit from the 70's if we don't.

OMG I had a dream about a red dress too - I had ordered my dream dress and had it sent for alterations and when it came back it was RED and a size 4, not a size 9 (haha like I could even fit into a 9!!) and they had hemmed it up to my knees...and it was a day before we were leaving for Mexico....it was so bad it woke me up!

  5. That really sucks they don't allow outside photogs...neither does the Barcelo

sad.gif I was really looking forward to using Claudia Rodriguez

I know the EDR does free weddings and that's a big bonus - but would switching resorts be an option at all? Our wedding package is only $1700 which is great for what it includes and it's a total kid friendly resort (kid's club, kid's waterpark, etc) but it's not PACKED with kids which is nice!

  6. I don't think we'll be spending much more than $5000...

It was $3000 for our flights and resort (for 2 weeks all inclusive)

My parents bought my dress and are paying for the actual wedding package (but still only $1700)

Our rings were under $1200 (together), my FH's suit cost a couple hundred, I got a super good deal on jewelry and shoes and our OOT bags and favours were pretty inexpensive...under $500 (for appx 50 guests!)

Hair, nails and makeup are being done by my sister and cousin

Our BM and MOH are our only attendants and they bought their own outfits and our guests are all paying for themselves.

Our AHR will cost us a little bit more but not a whole ton, we're having it at our work's association hall and they offer catering (awesome food!) and bar for a super super good price.

We stayed at the Barcelo last year and really liked it, have you been there before? Wish you all the best!
    Louisa

We stayed at the Barcelo last year as well and fell in love with it :) That's why we chose it as our spot :)
  8. Thanks for all the warm welcomes! cheesy.gif

We're having about 50 guests, which is totally awesome - way more than we were expecting!! It's so great to know that so many people are going out of their way to spend our day with us!

My MOH is wearing an aqua coloured dress (I'll post a pic later), and our BM is wearing a black suit with an aqua shirt and a black & aqua tie - they're going to look so great!! We're only having the 2 attendants, but that suits us perfectly!

    My planning is just about done - just got a few things left to do;

    - write our speech

    - get all our music together

    - buy a couple little things for our attendants and parents

    - hair & makeup trial (next week)

    - pick up my dress

    - and help my MOH find some shoes!

oh and then pack and get on that plane to Mexico!smile29.gif
