I'm doing OOT bags and a favor.....Instead of a wedding cake for the ceremony, I am doing individual cupcakes in boxes with ribbon and logo at each place setting as the wedding favor.

My Fiance has been out of town this week, and I thought that I could make a home cooked meal for him tonight! I'm not Martha stewart by any means,

Personally, I think this type of pricing structure is ethically wrong and deceiving and I would never price my work like this.
I can't speak for other photographers that may come here and offer something similar. I'm just speaking on my behalf and the contest I did back in January.
Even though it seems like a great deal, there is a huge difference in quality! There are some of us that can't quite seem to find it in the budget to spend that much money on a photographer when you are paying for a destination wedding! -

I don't know if there is a polite way of saying that! I say you plan what you want to plan, and everyone that doesn't make it, doesn't make it. Are they paying for anything or are they just being selfish and speaking their minds?! If they aren't paying for anything, then they could kiss my as*!!!!!!! Seriously, you and your fiance need to discuss this situation if you havn't already! If it were me, I would say out of respect, he would probably need to be the one to tell everyone to back off and they can come if they want!Quote:

Wow! I'm so sorry that you are going through all of this! It's really sad the amount of people that can be so disrespectful to both of your requests for a destination wedding! I have been dealing with this sort of issue since it all started about 6 months ago and it started to wear on me! I have expressed my concerns with my FI, and so has he. Not much that we can do at this point but let it roll off of our shoulders now! We both agreed that we would not get our feelings hurt if people didn't come but it's not really only that! It's the idea of people purposley being disrespectful about our special day! We put the wedding off longer than we needed to for the sake of everyone having plenty of time to pay for it! Not happening with his family! way to selfish to put $$$$ away to come to their own brothers wedding! It's just something that we have had to deal with and talk about more than once! I hope that it gets better for you guys, I personally have a "don't care" attitude anymore!!!!! I have stressed enough and it all comes down to figuring out who your real friends and family are!

I agree with the other girls if you wanted to tie something around that would look pretty too, but I think they look great the way they are. I'm really wondering how the starfish will ship. Do you think you need to write fragile on the envelopes? -

And NO, I didn't make the invites, I ordered them from a an ebay seller a few months ago. She was awesome to! I need to get her information also and give both of them credit for a wonderful job obviously!
I think that I'm gonna play around with the idea of wraffia and a logo tied onto the wraffia. I think that will really add a nice touch of my colors, and hopefully cushion the starfish a little! I was really going for simple with the looks and wording.....

Not only do they not look finished, but are they going to mail alright with the starfish glued on? (is the starfish gonna be crushed when they open them? Should I get busy and make some else to go around them or something?)
Do any of you have any experience with these? And can you think of anything that I can add to jazz it up a bit?! Or do you like them simple like that and then surprise everyone with all of the color once they get there?
