Great idea Christine...I love the colors, i just think I would like them individually a little better. Could you do half and half? I think that would look nice. Are you going to do something on the front? I think if you want to incorporate both colors into the program, you could print our your grape monogram in a square shape and layer it on top of a contrasting piece of paper. I think that would give them a more "finished" look. Just an idea...but if you quit like they are now, they're still great. I agree with Courtney- don't save stuff until the last minute! I got my programs and paper stuff done like 2 months before the wedding, but it was amazing how as we got closer I kept finding more things to do, but less time to do them as I was now having more dress fittings, working out more, etc. Definitely get as much out of the way as early as you can!

I love seeing the artistry in which these pictures are captured. Thank you sweetie for sharing this with us. Lizzy Thanks Lizzy Jeff was pretty game for it. He likes Juan's work and likes photography, and he also did it just because he knew I wanted these pics sooo bad. He originally didn't want me to have a big photography budget, but once I talked to him about capturing memories, having them to show our children & grandchildren, etc he was fine with it. I think it was Christine's post this morning saying that she wouldn't be able to get Will to do these pics with her...Jeff was looking over my shoulder & read it and said "what, do some guys not want to do this sort of thing?" and I told him that probably a lot of guys wouldn't want to put themselves through what he did to take these pics...Then he says "Wow, I am a great guy aren't I?" lol omg now he has a bigger head than he did before...lol It's funny that you mention capturing a beautiful moment with their new wife that is intimate and sexy...My parents were there for this photo shoot and my dad snapped one picture then told my mom they were going to take a walk- laughing, but said he couldn't watch me taking these shots! lol It's actually not very romantic at the time, because for every good shot you get, you have 3 huge waves crash over your head, you're getting scraped along the sand, knees are getting beat up, and salt water in your eyes, nose, mouth, everything...All this and Juan is yelling orders (because he's so far away and the ocean is so loud we can barely hear him)..."Sarah, get closer to Jeff...lift one leg in the air...turn your head to the right...no to the left....Jeff you need to smile...no not that big of a smile..." Juan is so much fun to work with and he gives great direction, but like I said, it's not exactly very romantic at the time, but now looking at the pic it seems very sexy...too funny. And, i know people are modest and always say that, but, seriously, every snapshot of us is terrible, and I generally hate myself in pictures...unless it's Leigh or Juan shooting them!

Or, just look around at the mall for something big & white- seriously, you see so little of the dress it doesn't really need to be a wedding dress...lol DO IT hehe

OK, TammyM, this is especially for you! Juan just emailed me that my slideshows should be done probably today or tomorrow. In the meantime, here is one pic that he emailed me. He loves torturing me...lol The waves were sooo calm in that area relative to how rough the surf is in Cabo, but we were still totally getting pushed up the beach as that pic was taken- this was late in the shoot because my hair is soaked- my head actually stayed quite dry for a while. ...I can't wait to see the rest!

DIY Flower Girl Bouquets - Opinions Please!
Sarah replied to LCBride2007's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
I love the general idea...I'm undecided about the pink ribbon, especially the criss-cross. What about just leaving the green ribbon? Could you attach the charm with that? I like the green and I think you don't necessarily need the pink. Great idea to make something they can keep. omg Ann your wedding is so close! -
For my small party I'm glad we did it the way we did- waayyy cheaper. But, if you have a large group I definitely do a DJ. For Sure. And, I did have a pretty good playlist originally, we could have just left that playing the way it was and it would have been fine. We were actually having fun picking out what song we wanted...I didn't mind...

I actually have a Dell mp3 player, not an IPOD, so what you're talking about isn't a possibility with that. I'm not sure about an IPOD, but I think they run about the same. What we did since my friend had her iPOD too, was set up new playlists and while one person was making a small playlist, the other person had her mp3 player playing- does that make sense? That way we could do small lists of songs (like 3 or 4) without much disruption...

Congratulations Kori! It looks like everything turned out beautifully! I love your bouquet and the banner is so nice. That's too bad about your pictures, although I just looked through your shutterfly slideshow and your friend got some great pics- you will still have some great memories with those. You had a steel drum band- how fun! You looked radiant and happy, and your husband looked great too! Congratulations again

Well, by the time we finally got to the dancing part of our reception, we only had about an hour and a half. People had been drinking and were ready to PARTAY...So, I had my IPOD all nicely set up with about a 6-1 ratio of fast to slow. Well, people kept asking "do you have ______ song" or "do you have xxxxxx song", so I kept changing the play order on my IPOD and a friend got hers out and we played some songs off hers too. We played NONE of my slow songs until the last dance. I'm not sure if all the parents totally enjoyed it, but my parents were out there dancing to all the fast stuff and it worked for us... Long story short: if you have a DJ, they'll read the crowd. If you're doing an IPOD, prepare to be doing a lot of requests and switching up your carefully planned song list!

Yup- my name is official. I just don't have the new cards in the mail yet, but I've already switched over credit cards and stuff. My license should be here this week then I can change my nursing license, etc. This should probably be it's own thread, but I just wonder if there's anything else I have to do. Is there any reason why I need to have it in English and apostilled? Like, do I have to file it here in the US somewhere? I should probably find this out soon...lol

Then, he told someone else yesterday that he'd be posting them on here last night. He must be still working on them...I'm trying SO HARD not to bug him because I don't want him to rush- I want him to take his time with the editing and stuff, but I'm DYING to see them! AAHHHHHH!!!!!!!! -

The only reason we had the microphone on a stand, and the speaker at the ceremony was for my dad & brother's song. I'm looking at my video right now and I can't tell if Mariana & the judge had mics on or if Jeff's mic was picking it all up. lol -
As with everything else in Mexico, it depends on who you ask. If I remember correctly, I don't think brides that have gone through Maye have needed apostilled documents. I did not need apostilles at Dreams either. In fact, I'm not sure what else I really have to do with my documents, because I just took my marriage certificate from Cabo to the Social Security Office & the Secretary of State and they issued me new Social Security Cards and Drivers' License- I didn't even get the documents translated...that should probably be it's own thread! lol

You can still get it in pictures, you can just have Juan stay a little longer if you have to. I just mean if you do it at the end of the dinner, you'll have more time to eat with your guests- that is, if you were planning to dance while they're eating... I know, it's so hard to decide. Honestly, if you don't want to stress about it, just see how it plays out- I'm sure it will be fine. The ONLY thing I would do differently now that i think about it is have started dinner before we got there...but even then, I don't know if I would have wanted to miss it!
