Congratulations Tara. You will absolutely LOVE getting married on Isla Mujeres!! I was married on the island two years ago..on June 2. We were married at Na Balam. We had our welcome/rehearsal dinner at Sunset Grill and most of our guests stayed at Cabanas Maria del Mar. I've been traveling to the island every year for 12 years now and it's like a second home to me. I've also photographed weddings on the island. Please feel free to contact me at 303.882.0956 if you have questions about the island. I am more than happy to help a bride who loves Isla as much as I do!!!

Hi there! sorry it took so long to respond for whatever reason it didnt notify me when people responded to this thread. Anywho... I am using Maria del Mar Lima. You can see her work on Weddings Isla Mujeres Mexico, Your seaside wedding is customized, wedding parties, or intimate private ceremonies, creativity and ambience for the perfect wedding experience.. I have heard wonderful things about her and so far she has been more than helpful and overall up to this point she has just been great. We're having our guests stay at Cabanas del Mar as it seems to be the most reasonable priced hotel on the best location of the island right on North Beach. Clara is the hotel owner there and working with her has been really great too. Its not a 5 star hotel from what I've read its more of a family feel smaller hotel but overall is good. I've stayed at the Francis Arlene downtown and although its not on the beach, the family that owns that hotel is WONDERFUL to their guests and they are super cheap. Just a thought for people who may not want to spend as much. Good luck planning and let me know if you need anything else at all!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
