What do I need to say to get her to confirm?? =)
I'm laughing at this, because she told us initially that it had to be within 11 months to confirm. So...I waited, and contacted her again last month....then got an email saying that we had to wait til August. I'm so confused, I've considered just shutting up and not saying a thing til the month before. hahaha I mean, seriously...

We're doing the symbolic ceremony too... I have been emailing Elena since December 2008 for our January 2009 date! I was just persistent (and nice!) and kept asking if we could confirm because need to send out invites so our guests can plan.

She confirmed with us but told our travel agent we had to wait to confirm till August! So I'm not even 100% sure, but I think we'll be ok...

It took that kind of persistance for me too. I called every hour on the 4th of July until I got to talk to her. Then I sent an email & booked right after.

more pics of la brisa. if you had your dinner here, they would rope of a section. the main drawback is that it's open air & can get a little muggy. This is where we had most of our meals.

El Mercado buffet. They only open this one once they reach 75% occupancy. It would be a nicer spot for a reception because it's closed in. I also loved the colored chairs. There were less choices on the buffet here.

I don't know that this one is an option for a reception. It was only open on the weekend while we were there.

catalonia yucatan side. you really can't tell these are two hotels. They share everything. The yucatan side is booked in europe so there was a lot of diversity. I thought that was a cool thing about the catalonia. when i was in cancun before, i kept meeting others from texas. there were people from all over at the cat.

This is a patio outside of the itallian & mexican restaurants. I think this might be an area they fix up for receptions. if not, it's an area near this. there is a balcony like space outside of the creperie right in front of this patio.

the bar between the two- it was a nice place to relax. there were rarely people there. there was a little terrace that we sat on some nights. one night we took our food to go from teh buffet & ate on the terrace. They served us margaritas. there wasn't anyone else around. You also have an ocean view

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
