Sam did get footage of the photo shoot and I can tell the pics will be amazing.

Yay! Its sounds like it was a great wedding - I can't wait to se your pics - I'm sure they're amazing.

 

Please do talk to Maye about the bouquet - hopefully it'll help us future brides who are getting our flowers through her. I'm also pricing out flowers thru Emeline at the Hilton but we shall see.

 

I can't wait to see your centerpeices - they sound so pretty!

 

I think that I'm going to specific to Emeline that I want her to run the timeline of the day - I feel like another bride had said something similar about Maye not being very forceful. And since Tammy's right -it can be confusing for two coordinators to know who is taking the lead.

 

I'm so glad you liked DJ Ricardo (Patino or Patina?) because that's who I've hired as well. We are planning on just bringing our ipod for him to play off of but I'm curious as to his usual set-up? Did he play from a computer, CDs, records?

 

It sounds to me like if you took that raw footage and had it edited into a DVD it would be exdactly what you're looking for. Raw footage is always horrible!!!!! Since you're in So CAL. I think you could totally find an editor to put it together for you for a great price - hmmmm.... I'm going to look on Craigslist right now....

 

While a lot of these people shoot weddings I'm sure you can hire them for editing alone for a discounted price:

Oh GOOD!!!! Thanks for the info Tammy!! I'm so excited to see them. I paid him an extra $100 to make a slide show (Tammy(host) I stole your Jack Johnson song. I just loved it so much, I hope you don't mind).

Kash - Thank you so much for digging up the editing guy. I already paid $50 to have it converted onto DVD (3 copies), but I may have it edited. You're right, it's probably not Sam, it is that it is just unedited.

I will write Maye bout the flowers. I can be passive sometimes when it comes to that stuff. But you're right, if it will help out the future brides (aka..you guys ) it will be worth saying something.

Rebecca -- great review! I swear our weddings/reviews are so similar! Too funny, especially because we used totally different vendors. But dates, times, size, timelines, and the kinds of things we did were really similar.

 

I can't wait to see pics! This will definitely be helpful for other Dreams brides :)

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
