so what have you planned? what time of day is your wedding? what kind? what are you wearing? are you having a cocktail party etc? what kind of meal?

sorry im so nosey!
hmm... I havent really planned that much yet. ...

Most people are arriving on Wednesday and Thursday before the Saturday wedding. I want to do a Welcome party on Thursday (but will only do this if I get "free events". If I dont qualify, then we will just meet at the lobby bar).

I want my guests to enjoy their vacaction, so I am not going to plan anything on that Friday.

Then Saturday is the big day! Wedding starts at 5PM. Cocktails from 5:30 to 6:30. Then off to dinner.

But everything depends on what we quailfy for.

I am getting the Amber Collection as well. :) It doesnt match prefectly with my hot pink and orange....but owell. lol AND I know that I want a mariachi band. :)

I will probably have between 30 and 40 guests, which is $1600! for 2 hours! I'm not paying for more time though. We're just going to scope out a fun music/dance place when we first get there that we can all hang out at after dinner. Anyone have any recommendations?
Are you including me and Justin your wedding crashers into that 30 to 40?! lol

the set ups that I have seen are on a terrace in the middle of the court yard! I was like... huh.. i want to be down by the beach. I hope that they give you a really nice place to hang out but DEFINATLY tell them that you want to have your private reception over looking the water.

Hi Ladies!

I'm getting married at the Sun Palace Feb. 20, 2010, but all of our guests are staying at the moon palace and so are we. (we had to do this because there were no times available at the moon palace the day we chose to get married.

Ok, so it's 75 days away from our wedding and my wedding planner is not emailing me back and when she does she doesn't answer any of my questions! I'm freaking! I was not a fan of any of the flower options (but the funny thing is that none of the options even matched the other packages)

We have unlimited private functions so we'll be having a reception with about 55 people, I'm basically freaking out because the clock is ticking and I don't want to end up hating our ceremony and reception decor. So help! Any advice? any pics you can share?

Thank you in advance!

Someone else was talking about unlimited private functions...so is this a package that you got? Maybe since I got the freebie, that's why I've never heard about it?

Carly-- I know the frustration you are feeling. I emailed claudia martinez and asked her the questions that I had about my wedding and she told me that my coordinator Angelica would be getting a hold of me soon. I DO know that they get a lot better about getting in touch with you about 60 days before the wedding. (I had a friend get married there)

Thank you for the quick responses!

We booked through the palace resorts and so did all of our guests. Since our group booked over 75 nights we recieved 7 free nights and unlimited private functions. After reading through everyones posts today, I actually changed my wedding package to the complimentary one so that we can pick and choose what we want :)

Hi Carly

have you tried emailing your WC and copying in a Miami consultant (try copying in [email protected] ) that way someone should come back to you.

put your questions in bullet points and ask them to respond to them all maybe?

how come you chose the Sun rather than the Moon for your wedding? is it easy to come and go between them on the day of your wedding? what a nice idea!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
