...and I am not loving the veil after seeing it in pictures. It was spread out when I was playing with it and then holding it up to the dress.
They were going to order it in mocha, but with ivory trim - the one in the pic is mocha trim.

As for the veil. It's nice, but I agree, it's a bit off somehow. Can you cancel your order or return it once it gets in?
I agree.... the dress is stunning, but I am not crazy about the color of the veil.

if you look through my slideshow you can see that the veil was pretty see through, and didn't block the dress - look at slides 37, 45, 47, and 50

I went through the entire slideshow again! Ha! Your wedding was so beautiful! I love the long veil with your dress...

I went through the customizing process on that site for a simple long veil and it was only $31 !
Thanks for the help! I will talk to the boutique owner tomorrow.
I feel bad canceling it since I just ordered it. They are so nice though, I hope they understand.

what kind of veil did you get priced out?
Ooooh nooo you didn't talk me out of it... I told them I wasn't so sure. You all confirmed it... the pictures did too... I didn't see it bunched up when I was there :)

I closed out of that window, but it was a single layer, 52 inch I think? 3 inch plastic comb, the finish was just 'cut'.

Paula, you look so beautiful! I love your dress! I agree with the others, I know I'm late, but I don't like the color of the veil. And I know exactly what you mean about wanting to have a veil because I do too!! Even if its super windy!! I'm going to try your trick with the weights (I think it was fishing sinkers, right?) I am getting a 1 layer sheer veil too because I don't want it to totally hide the back of my dress. Nothing crazy!

Just got off the phone with my MOH. I sent her the pictures too and she said it had to be the lighting because it did not look like that in the store... Anyway...

I am still going to try and cancel the veil.

Where are you getting your veil from Jilly?
Yes they were tiny fishing weights, but I guess you can do the same with some little beads.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
