We actually got married on the beach by a restaurant where we had our reception. We went there for our honeymoon and I was actually thinking of how beautiful a wedding would be there.

I got them in Nicaragua. From a local vendor, but I bet most Latin American destinations have vendors like him.

I think it depends where you are getting married. I am getting married in Nicaragua and I had these maracas made for guest favors, but also to use as escort cards.

The papel picado with names on them costs a lot of money, so we got some wedding papel from Amols and then got just the small flags for centerpieces with our names. I made the table numbers with the date and now I have to print out engagement pictures to put in them.

Is anyone else worried about having a wrinkly dress due to the travel? I have asked all around where I am getting married and no one has steam cleaning. Is anyone buying like a small personal steam cleaner? What are you doing to ensure your dress is not looking a hot mess?

Depends on where your family is from. My mom is doing something with the cake and Cuban tradition. they have ribbons and the single ladies pull them. 4 people will pull out something that means something special. I forget what they all are now also I am using papel picado
