  1. My WC at the Ritz recommended Karine Cummings. She does hair and make up. I don't normally wear a lot of make up, so I mentioned that I was nervous about it and wanted someone I could trust and who would listen to me. I checked out the website and thought the brides really did look great without being overdone. I emailed Karine and she got back to me right away, and even replied to my concerns with ideas for a natural, but polished style. Obviously, can't comment on the final results yet, but I feel like I'm in good hands. Which, to me, counts for a lot. I'll have a trial run with her sometime before the wedding. Here's the link: Bridal Photo Page PS Brenna--she does do airbrush.
  2. I love Ruth's Chris. I worked at the one in Denver (now closed) so my fiance and I always try to eat there when we visit other cities. We've never been disappointed. We did go the the Ruth's Chris in Lahaina and really enjoyed it. It's beautiful inside and service was excellent. One really cool thing about that restaurant is that they include local cuisine and Hawaiian influences in their menu. The food was great. I think it would be a wonderful choice for your reception. We can't decide if we're going to have our rehearsal dinner there or the Old Lahaina Luau.

  4. I can't decide which would be better considering how good they look AND the reuse factor. I really want to offer something that our guests can use later. All of the DIY canvas totes on here look awesome. But I'm not in any way capable of such a crafty feat. I'm planning to attach a favor tag with our logo to the bags with pretty ribbon. That, I can do. So the woven bags are appealing because they would look pretty, but I think the canvas bags would be more practical. Anyone have experience or suggestions? Greatly appreciated!
  5. I'd like to find one, too. I'll post whatever I find out. I'm so shy so I'll be very picky about whoever I work with.
  6. My fiance and I stayed there last April and it was 100% improved. The rooms were gorgeous, spacious, and every detail was top notch. The grounds are beautiful and the hotel has excellent access to the beach, as well as walking trails. Service and food was fantastic as well. Highly recommended!
  7. Wow. I can't believe you made made those. They look so professional! I love the boarding pass idea. Can't decide if I could make them look that good myself, not very DIY handy, or spend the extra on paper stuff and save money somewhere else. Lot's of people on here have made them look so good! Well done!
  8. Hi there, we're getting married at the Ritz Kapalua next June. We stayed there last April and the hotel, service, food, and location were all excellent. I have just begun working with the planner and so far it's all going really well. I'd love to hear any ideas/suggestions for colors and decor. Congrats! Think you'll love it.
  9. My name is Autumn. My fiance and I are getting married June 12, 2010 at the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua on Maui. Very exciting. Great tips and info on this forum. Thanks!
