  1. I know they say that you need a minimum of 40...but i bet if there is no one else booked that it wouldn't matter how many people you have. I think i read on here somewhere that someone had the beach reception and only had between 20-30. So i think it would be fine
  2. We got a travel agent from our city and she arranged everything. We sent out her info to everyone we knew was interested in going and they booked through her. She has contacts at the hotel. Otherwise you can do all the research online and just tell your guests which site you used and have them book it on their own. But it is very handy to have a travel agent to handle all the stresses of that We are getting married at the RMB in 4 weeks!!!
  3. I just got an update from Sherika.....i guess the information she sent was wrong and not all that clear. The beach reception is $55 per person and they do have DJ's available for $150 per hour....it is the more requested DJ that is $350 per hour. Sorry for the confusion

  5. Is anyone having problems with the prices at RMB?? I got information from posts on this site regarding the Private Beach reception....but the information i got from the WC was totally different. The prices went up by $20-$40 per person. Also the DJ went from $150 per hour to $350 per hour! Does this sound right?? i am getting marrried in 4 weeks and i don't want to have to change all my plans....please help!

  7. Thanks....i really liked Stacy Clarke too...i am just waiting to hear back if she will do one of the smaller packages in Montego Bay. We arrive on March 7th and Leave March 14th. Our wedding is on the 11th - and i think we are doing the private beach reception. I emailed the WC over 2 weeks ago, but still have not heard anything back. How bout you?

  12. Hey!! I am getting married at Riu Montego Bay on March 11th, 2010. Sooo excited!!! Are you finding it hard not being able to finalize any plans?? Nora was saying the the wedding coordinator does not contact you until 1 month before the wedding?!? I think that it is going to be a very busy month!!!! I am also really confused on the wwhole private reception deal. We got the Caprice package, but have to pay per person if we want private?? Doesn't make sense. Can anyone help with this?!!? Thank you!!!
  13. Did you get to see any weddings while you were there?? Are you planning on doing the private reception?? We got the Caprice package....but i am so confused as to why it costs per person for a private reception when it is all inclusive....we are bringing 60 people to the hotel that are paying and we still have to pay more. I guess there is no way around it is there
