Hi Karla, I'm getting married at the Gran Caribe next Sept and actually just came back from a site visit. I really wanted to see the chapel in person and I was not disappointed. It's beautiful. I was there for a week and during that time there were several weddings that took place. Each one was totally different from the other. The resort is very accommodating and I highly recommend it.

Have you looked into the Gran Caribe? They have a chapel which is surrounded by glass so your views are completely of the ocean. They provide you with a english speaking priest and it's the next best thing to a gazebo. I was just there last week to look at it and it's beautiful. Hey everyone.......I'm Yonkers on the Bronx border. We will most likely get married at the Royal in Cancun but have the cermony next door at the Gran Caribe in the new Catholic Chapel. I've stayed at the Royal twice before and LOVE IT!!! I'm actually going back in 2 weeks to see the new chapel and meet with vendors. If anyone needs me to get any info or take pics just let me know. I leave on 9-5-09.

Who did you speak with at the Gran Caribe? I've been dealing with them and have had no problems at all. It's a beautiful resort and the Royal next door is amazing!! I've been there twice already and going back again in a few weeks. If you want me to get any info or take any pics just let me know. Also not sure if your catholic or not but they just opened a beautiful chapel in the Gran Caribe. I have pics of it decorated that the resort WC sent me. Let me know if your interested in seeing them.

No disrespect to your friend but she's still pretty much an amatuer. Charging $1800 for someone who is just starting out I feel is alot of money. If you really think about it she will benefit regardless even if she only charged you for film or her out of pocket expenses since she would be using you to build her portfolio and get to gain more experience.

Has anyone used Jorge Ibarra from Smartline Productions? Curious to see what you thought of him and if I can see some wedding day edits. Thanks!
