  1. I'm thinking August 2010 too (maybe Aug 28 - Sept 4, something like that) and so far I've done... nothing! Hah. I'm having a hard time just choosing the destination. Too many conflicting opinions, desires and then throw in money concerns... Eek.
  2. It's one of the ones I'm considering as well but like you, I'm a bit wary! My cousin (travel agent) has always said to be careful with brand-new resorts as often they haven't worked out all of the kinks yet, etc. But the prices are reasonable and I'd love a nice, new resort... It's tempting!
  3. Prices are really high right now for July-Sept 2010 (well, Sept pricing isn't even available yet! But July and August are very high). I've been looking for a long time and we recently booked a non-wedding trip to Cuba. The trend generally seems to be that they drop significantly when you get more like 6 months out from the departure date. For example, Grand Princess I've seen as low as $900 out of Edmonton for 1 week this past summer. If you look at their quotes for next summer, they are over twice that! So, how do you decide when to take the plunge and actually book? I don't want to overpay by $800 or more. And frankly, I don't want to ask people to spend over $2,000 because I don't think that's reasonable for a 4-5 star in the Mayan. But I also have to book the wedding itself at whichever resort we choose... Eek!
  4. I have a CHI and I *really* like it. I am not sure I ever would've spent that much on a dryer otherwise- it was a gift- but it really is so much better than my old drugstore one (which is only maybe 1 year old, I believe it's a Conair Ionic. It's not terrible, just not great). The CHI leaves my hair way softer.
  5. I haven't YET but I plan to go to the gym later and do some cardio. Posting that now for accountability's sake! I have a physio appointment first, which means the gym will be super busy by the time I get there... but I am going anyway. Even if I have to drag myself there, LOL.
  6. I hear ya. You don't even want to know how much I ate on Sunday! We had an early Christmas dinner with the extended family and there was an insane amount of food. Turkey, ham, 2 kinds of cabbage rolls, 3 kinds of stuffing, dips, potatoes, turnips, you name it. And I am talking for like 20 people. Plus we still have actual Christmas Eve/Christmas with our immediate families to go! Eek!
  7. 1. Name: Ashley 2. Date: Thinking late 2009/early 2010. I'm impatient, so would be open to as early as Nov 2009. I think SO is leaning more towards Jan 2010. 3. Location: Somewhere warm! Undecided as to the rest. Part of the reason for going the DW route is that we live in Alberta and our winters are brutally cold. Timing-wise, we'd like a wedding in the winter but we don't want a winter wedding in -25C! Another reason we decided to go the DW route is that a number of my SO's family members are around our age (mid-late 20s) and have recently gotten married. All of the ones who went the traditional wedding route later said they wish they'd done a DW!
