  1. Snapfish: Share:Registration Hope this link works, it's just some of the pictures some of my friends and family took. Sorry I have't had a chance to do a review or anything else. I'll try to get to it in the next day or two. What I will say is we had an amazing time and wouldn't have changed a thing...well, maybe the weather Happy Planning! Tsasha
  2. Ceremony we took from several places and tweaked to fit what we wanted: I'm posting because it took seeing a few others before I could even start on my own. I will confess the beginning and end are from one of the women in this forum from Canada and I just fell in love with it...hope she doesn't mind =] Ceremony canopy inspirations (jennrenn) MINISTER: On behalf of Shane and Tsasha, I welcome you and thank you all for gathering here on this beautiful day to witness their marriage ceremony. The fact that you all have travelled such a great distance to be here today is a testament to the amazing amount of love and support they have. All of you have given them much happiness, love, warmth, and guidance through the various stages of their lives. They would like to sincerely thank you all for being here to celebrate their big day. A special and respectful acknowledgement must also be made to those friends and family members who were unable to attend, or have passed on, but whose spirit remains alive and strong in all our hearts. I have also been asked by Shane and Tsasha to thank their parents for the wonderful lives they have given them, for the hard work and guidance they have provided, for their everlasting love, support, and encouragement. It is from them that they have learned the true meaning of love, friendship and family. Shane and Tsasha have decided to say a few words to each other: SHANE I promise to encourage your compassion, Because that is what makes you unique and wonderful. I promise to nurture your dreams, Because through them your soul shines. I promise to help shoulder our challenges, For there is nothing we cannot face if we stand together. I promise to be your partner in all things, Not possessing you, but working with you as a part of the whole. Lastly, I promise to you love and trust, For one lifetime with you could never be enough. This is my sacred vow to you, my equal in all things. TSASHA I promise to encourage your individuality, Because that is what makes you unique and wonderful. I promise to nurture your dreams, Because through them your soul shines. I promise to help shoulder our challenges, Because through them we'll emerge stronger. I promise to be your partner in all things, Not possessing you, but working with you as a part of the whole. I promise to share with you the joys of life, Because with you they will be that much sweeter. Lastly, I promise to you love and trust, For one lifetime with you could never be enough. This is my sacred vow to you, my equal in all things. MINISTER TO SHANE: Shane, will you have this woman to be your wife, to live together in the sacred estate of marriage? Will you love her, comfort her, honor and keep her, in sickness and in health, in sorrow and in joy, and be faithful to her, as long as you both shall live? SHANE: I Will. MINISTER TO TSASHA: TSASHA, will you have this man to be your husband, to live together in the sacred estate of marriage? Will you love him, comfort him, honor and keep him, in sickness and in health, in sorrow and in joy, and be faithful to him, as long as you both shall live? TSASHA I Will. MINISTER ASKS SHANE TO TAKE TSASHA's right hand in his own and REPEATS AFTER MINISTER: I, SHANE, take you, TSASHA, to be my wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part. TSASHA REPEATS AFTER MINISTER: I, TSASHA, take you, SHANE, to be my wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part. With confidence and deep affection, we send you forth on life's journey together. May love and peace be with you always; a peace which the world can neither give nor take away, a love which the world cannot destroy. May you have courage and wisdom in your future years together, and may the happiness you share today be with you always. With friends and family, along with the sun, the moon, and the sea, I have the pleasure of announcing you as husband and wife. Shane, you may kiss your bride. I'm jumping all over the place, sorry! Placecards - I printed these myself and then glued seashells from Michaels in the corner. Table numbers - got the card inserts from a local florist and will put these sticking out of the centerpieces. Our sweethearts table will have the Novio which loosely means "sweatheart" in Spanish. Luggage tag and pre-wedding brochure (I have the templates for all of these, PM if you want them...but I got them from the DIY forum =}) Iron-on monogram on OOT bags (cheaptotes.com) Okay I'll try to post the rest before we leave tomorrow morning.
  3. Okay, think I've got the picture thing worked out. I hope I don't get the worst thread ever award =] More hair inspiration: Save the dates (honestly can't remember where I got these) Invitations: Creations by Leslie (wonderful to work with) Menus (again terrible pic, got the template from martha stewart online, but they were not easy to work with...) Centerpieces from Azul - guess I should have mentioned originally that we are going to be married in a symbolic ceremony at the Azul Sensatori in Puerto Morelos Mexico. We have 31 people going and most are staying at the hotel with us. My bouquet inspiration BM's flower inspiration Maracas (see note below that will be attached)
  4. Everyone before me has made this look so easy, so I’ll try to give some good ideas and information here. I can tell you that I all of the sudden can’t sleep lately. I’m not sure if it’s stress or excitement but this once 9 hour a night sleeper is now bright eyed at 3am for the last week =] Okay, here goes… Shane and I met at an Ironman race in April of 06 in Arizona. He was living in Boulder, CO and I was living in Scottsdale, AZ. I moved 4 months into our relationship and he still jokes that some crazy woman moved in with him and won’t leave him alone =] We were engaged in May and Shane is quite possibly the least romantic man so I won’t go into details about the asking and accepting but will tell you that I was so excited to marry him it didn’t matter. An aside to this whole planning journal and something that actually helped me not freak out as much with all the details is that I trained for and raced 3 triathlons, one marathon and one Ironman this year. Okay, enough of all that, on to the pictures. I probably got most if not all of my ideas from this forum, so thank you to Tammy for creating this site and everyone who has come before me =] Also, my camera didn’t take very good pictures (could be the photographer too!) I’m hoping in my wedding review you’ll be able to see it all come together. Rings (bad pics, not sure how to take good ones?) Dress (off the rack at Nordstrom’s !) Yes, I never shut up! Shoes (DSW) Jewelry Hair inspiration There's lots more but I want to post to see if my pictures show up...still such a rookie =]
  5. Thanks so much Krista, I'm doing almost the exact same thing down to the gerber daisies =] I'm leaving on Thurs and having the wedding on Saturday. I'm so excited and can't wait to just have some fun after all this planning. I do hope they are consistent in how they treat everyone, because after hearing about your day it sounds wonderful. Did you have space to dance on Zocalo al Fresco? I'm bringing printouts of everything, as suggested by someone on this forum, and I'm also going to try to keep the mindset of going with the flow! Can't wait to see pictures! I'm still trying to get my planning journal ready to post, but work has been crazy trying to get ready to leave. Luckily I've taken the day before we leave off...okay sorry for all the rambling, I'm starting to get nervous energy. I was up at 3am this morning!!!
  6. This is amazing, I started tearing up reading your ceremony, I hope you had a wonderful time and are enjoying your new life together!
  7. Amazing! There are so many wonderful things I don't even know where to start. I'm so impressed!
  8. Thank you chloe and Mrs.StephB.2Be I'm so excited to get there! Thank you for the information chloe about the rooms, I can't imagine getting a room with a double bed! I leave next Thursday! Can't wait!
  9. Hi! I'm leaving in 10 days! I'll try to post a very detailed planning journal and put a link here. I'm also going to try and post a detailed review when I get back. I think we've decided on At Last by Etta James for our first dance, with Melissa by the Allman Brothers for the son/mother dance (her name is Melissa), and Let's Get it On by Marvin Gaye for our last dance! ha! Can't wait to be in Mexico!
  10. Honestly, I didn't get many responses until it was two months before my wedding (feb. 7th) I think it's because they do so much of the planning last minute and even when you get down to the hotel. It made me crazy too, but now Tiffany has been great to work with. Also, I've noticed if I respond to an earlier email I've received from them they will respond faster. Hope you start getting responses!
  11. I love your hair! The makeup is great, and I think for the pictures you wouldn't want it to be any llighter. Have fun!
  12. Can't wait to see how it all looks, great job and have a blast!
