    For those married at DC...any thoughts/opinions on the Mexican or Caribbean trio? I know I know seems weird to even consier a Caribbean trio in Mexico but just keeping our options open. Thanks for any info!

      The Mariachi was fantastic our guests loved them.

      Because we were in mexico there was no question we were getting the mariachi.

        I'm going for the Caribbean because it's 350$ versus 700$ for the Mariachi. Also I think (I could be wrong) that's it's more what I had in mind, more of a laid back caribbean style versus traditional mexican music? I could be wrong though, that's just a guess. I would like to hear both to see the difference! I'm not overly found of the mariachi's costumes though! Not a very laid back look.

        If the price was reversed, I'd probably go for the mariachi though. I didn't expect it to be nearly so expensive. You can get the same musicians at resorts in Cuba (for weddings) for 100$ or so, which is what I expected to be paying (700$ is a LOT of money in mexico! and it's just for 45 mins!!!!)

          SunBride,
          When is your wedding? I hope I get to hear your thoughts on the caribbean trio. I know seems silly but like you said we like the laid back sound of caribbean music too.

              its included in the ultimate package.

              We wanted to have some traditional mexican things mixed into our wedding because its in mexico, we used them for our cocktail hour.

              I think the mariachi that is $700 might be a whole mariachi band, not just the trio. They were a lot of fun.

                  I think there is only one mariachi option (not a trio or a whole band). The big package of information I receive just says:
                  caribbean trio = 350$
                  mariachi = 700$
