Maria - wow, I totally had no idea. 1 bed/1 bath & Audrey on the weekends...you have me beat.

Diana - seriously, drinking is the norm since we've been here. Don't even need encouragement. But you are right, I should do something for myself. I need to find a yoga class or something.

Tammy - omg how frustrating! You must want to kick your renters out like yesterday. Thanks for making me see I'm not alone. And yes, the serenity prayer is awesome, even if you aren't in AA :)

Catherine - wanna come & clean at our house? Actually, we're pretty clean, just cramped & cluttered. UGH.

I love you guys!

Christa...

I can truely sympathize... I bought my house about an hour away from my family so he could be close to his....we had been "home" for less than a month before his daughter had a "falling out" with her mother and moved in with us.... she also brought with her a boyfriend and son. talk about close quarters. Anyway, all I can say is enjoy your Family, they are meant to be treasured. (that is what I keep telling myself)

You know, it really didn't start bothering me until the *FREAKS* upstairs moved in. Jesus, who the fuck puts those stupid Cheech & Chong "dingleball" things across the top of their entrance?!?! It's like they cut out the interior of the damn "Mystery Machine" and hung it from their doorway!

I've never heard tiny little skinny people make so much noise. We hear machinery running in the middle of the night, pounding on the walls during the day, and complete *stomping* across the floor all the time. They have a 6 month old baby and believe it or not--- we hardly ever hear the kid screaming/crying, but we hear every freaking move her parents make.

We crammed our asses in this place because it's a "prissy" neighborhood at had a decent price on it. But these people are making it GHETTO, big time.

I'm now, 'returning the favor' so to speak. My goal is to make them as sleep deprived as we've been. I grab a broom and knock the shit out of our ceiling in the middle of the night---- throw basketballs at the ceiling----- and starting at 5:00am when I get up for work, both TV's are blasted at top volume for 1.5 hours until I walk out the door...

Fuckers.... hehehehehe.... I'll drive them out one way or another. wink.gif

God Maria, sounds like Hollywood where I just escaped from! My broom has banged on the ceiling many a night! Fuckers above us must have been fans of crystal meth or took some damn fine vitamins.....they sounded like they were moving couches all night! And at $1650 a month you would think they had to sleep to go to work at some point! WTF is that? Who pays their rent?

Not to mention the dudes next door, who didn't even show their faces until 2 am when they smoked on their balcony and talked at top volume about their lives for 3 hours. Yeah, I care about the girl you left behind in Michigan. Jackass....STFU!

Whew! That turned into a mini-vent. I'm glad I'm outta there....hope your freak neighbors move before you snap on them!

Christa, I've been there done that with my last apt. I had so much stuff and such a small place that I felt like I was living in a tenement. I never felt comfortable having guests over. The place always seemed dirty when it wasn't due to clutter in a small space. We now live in a large 3 BR 1 bath flat with a dog and two cats. The place is big enough but we have to keep the back part of the apt sealed off because the dog is kept there and the cats are in the front. My big 18 pound cat Indy wants to seriously harm Jay's beagle Chloe. Chloe refuses to defend herself. So to move from the front of the house to the back (and vice versa), we have to lock doors behind us. We put 2 baby gates up in our BR door jam to keep the animals separated. I feel like I live in I live in a high security facility some times!

Ugh! yup so all those frustrated by their living situation, join hands and unite. lol.

P.S. Someone ask Jay about his last apt. with the shower in the kitchen. That was fun! smile105.gif

I apologize for the hijack Christa. OK so in Jay's old apt., the bathrooom consisted of a sink and toilet. The shower was right off the kitchen, no changing area or anything. It was this small tiled shower grotto measuring appoximately 4 feet wide. So essentially you were naked in the kitchen before and after showers. Jay had long hippie beads separating the shower from the kitchen. they didn't help. It was the weirdest apt. layout that I ever saw.

That's been my life for the past 6 months. Upstairs neighbors going at for hours 2 nights a week at 4am sharp! ...And not in one spot either...ALL OVER THE ROOM! Furniture creaking and female moaning. Come on, they can't hump during normal evening hours like everybody else! Every Wednesday and Sunday morning at 4am like clockwork! girl_werewolf.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
