I love that. It sounds a lot similar to how I envisioned things for myself too, so i'm biased haha. It sounds beautiful!!!!

How are you planning to do your reception tables?

I was also thinking of re-using my aisle runner bouquets to plop into my centrepieces, but the resort gives me a complimentary bouquet of 20 roses in my choice of colour, so I decided to just used those, broken up into three tables and then add my own artificial greens to it. My head table centrepieces will be my bouquet, front and centre and then two smaller bouquets to each side (most likely my aisle runner florals).

@perianjay That's perfect!!!  Great minds think alike!

My package also includes a brides bouquet and grooms boutonnière, so it's not confirmed with the WC but the Wedding Manager I've been communicating with through said that I may be able to use that cost towards wedding decor.  We get a floral arrangement for the ceremony (on the table) that I plan to move to the reception and possibly place on the head table depending on the size.  Using the aisle flowers as centrepieces is an amazing idea!!!

As for tables, I'm not sure of the size yet - I presume we'll find out once we book the reception.  Since we have 40 booked as of now (me and cool, 4 wedding party and 34 guests I'm not sure how it would work... we have a potential 10 more booking so I'm waiting until closer to the day to sort all that out, and that will help me determine centrepiece numbers as well.  If I do find something I love for the centrepieces, I'll probably purchase about 8-10, that will definitely cover the amount of tables and leave us with some extra for the head table and welcome table.  It's hard to try and get ahead with some things until you have the numbers... that's why getting the wedding playlist and things like that out of the way will be super helpful.

I think that's a great idea. It took me a little while to figure out the logistics because I had to have a confirmed number of people to know how many tables/centrepieces etc.

I'm condensing my guests into three tables and then just having one long head table with the 8 of us at it. I wanted to try to keep the tables more intimate since it's a more intimate setting.. plus it leaves me more room for the dance floor and moving room.

I'm not too worried about the floral anymore on my tables because I know that the roses with the added greens will be more than enough. I'm doing mason jar vases and then a bunch of assorted metallic votive holders in all sizes surrounding it. I also opted for a light champagne sequins table runner to add a touch of glam to the tables.

Those don't look like fake flowers at all! They're really beautiful and elegant and will look beautiful against the coral bridesmaid dresses. And I can't believe the price, what a steal! You've done so well with your flowers and your dress.

Reusing flowers and decor is definitely a great idea, and I plan to do the same. All the flowers from our ceremony location will be reused for our reception. We're going with real flowers do it's even more important to reuse!!

@Wafflesmom Thank you!  I couldn't say no to that price, and I knew those were the flowers I was looking for.  We are hoping to be either in a new home or very close to it this time next year - with that in mind I knew I could use the white calla lilies as decor. Re-using is soooo worth it!!

@perianjay That's a great price for all your flowers! I agree, the flowers in Mexico can be really pricey, and sometimes what you have envisioned isn't available because of the season. I went to a wedding 5 years ago in Cuba and I remember hearing that the pink bouquets she chose weren't the same pink she ordered. It wasn't a big deal in the larger scheme of things because it was the only pink in her whole wedding decor so it was fine, but what if it did need to be a specific shade? That's what made me want to opt for the fake flowers.

For my bouquet, because Colin wants a light pink tie and the idea is to have the groomsmen in coral pink ties to match the bridesmaids dresses - I still need to post these! - I would like to find roses (both tight and full opening) in both light and coral. I've pinned some examples from pinterest and I think because we are using different shades of pink instead of one, I can get away with everything not all matching the one colour. And the same with the aisle flowers - small bouquets of roses. Do you think that sounds good?

We had a bride from Cuba back last August 2014. I don't know if the problem is so much if they have your shade or color but more if they even have flowers. I think she was basically told you get whatever flowers they have. She brought a lot of her own ribbons and stuff to help and she also picked some from the garden to add to it. For basics I think Mexico is far more advanced and will paint flowers too. The issue in Mexico is more what's in season. That was what I understood anyways but def safer to just ensure you get your vision by doing real touch :)

Check out afloral.com  They had a moving sale on. Not sure if it still is but it was 20% off. I got another email from them this morning. I can look if you want. If you sign up I think you get a discount on first order or something. They have some pretty flowers. I'm useless with stuff like that so for me not even worth looking. I wanted to see for bouts what they charged for ready made. Not worth it because I need 2 and the minimum order is 4 I think.

@calgarybride2015 Exactly - I rather be sure and do my own flowers.

@acw271011 That's for the info!  I'm going to see if I can find the flowers since I'm just adding to my bouquet and doing several small aisle flowers, but if I can't find anything I'll def check out that site!

Went a little crazy in Michael's last night - I probably spent a solid hour in there.  They have amazing sales going on at the moment.

Got tons of stuff and will post pics once I organize  :)
