@deecol I need something like that! I don't sleep very well anymore.. ever since the wedding stress and I still don't sleep well haha. I don't know what this wedding did to me. I know how you feel though because months before my wedding came I would just lay in bed.. wide awake thinking about the wedding..constantly.

@perianjay Me too!!!  Bed time is when I think of literally everything!

If you go by a healthstore (I went to Your Good Health) ask for these, they come in a 10 pack too for like $8 so you don't have to commit to a huge 60-tab bottle like I did lol (I knew I'd need more than 10).  They are by the brand "Natural Factors - Stress Relax" called "Tranquil Sleep", I got the chewable orange ones.  They just relax you, and help you to sleep, and they're natural so they don't make you groggy.  I'll send you a pic of what the bottle looks like.

@deecol I can usually fall asleep okay, but I'm waking up at 4am and can't get back to sleep because my mind is racing. I haven't tried anything recently, but if this keeps up, I may have to. I don't like the groggy feeling of sleeping pills. I have tried melatonin + a herbal supplement before, but it seems hit & miss. I might try the one you're talking about.

@vancouverpetunia How frustrating, I wake up a bit during the night my biggest trouble is falling asleep because my brain won't let me.  Melatonin is meant to help with keeping you asleep, maybe you need to up your dosage?  I don't like the groggy feeling either which is why I wanted to try this. I have a couple girlfriends at work who pushed me the natural way, so I walked into a health store and was recommended this.  One of my friends took two and her boyfriend tried it, he loved it and had a great sleep, she couldn't fall asleep but she took too much magnesium that day so it kept her up some how.  My other co-worker takes 10 mg of melatonin a night and won't get a restful nights sleep if she has any less, she also takes "Natural Calm", (a powder drink also found at the health store) before bed, everyone's bodies and tolerances are different.  I am in no way a pill pusher or anything, just a bride-to-be who can't sleep (like a lot of other brides out there) and thought this might help if you're looking for something more natural.  Let me know if you do try and it works for you  :) Good luck!

Need opinions - lash extensions or no?

I wasn't planning on getting extensions, but then a girlfriend mentioned it, and we have been chatting on it a bit on here... So now I'm all conflicted.

These are my eyelashes with a bit of regular drug store mascara.

If I get extensions will it be too much and look tacky? Or is there a way to get a minimal amount to just plump them up a bit? I don't know very much about this.

I vote extensions! My natural lashes are really big with mascara as well, but it just doesn't show in photos the same way. Extensions look dramatic in person, but you always have to go more dramatic to notice makeup in professional photos.

@deecol Your own lashes are beautiful but I agree with Perian. They will pop even more if you add to what you already have; maybe keep the length the same and just make them fuller?

I've been going back and forth on this too. My hair dresser does lashes as well and suggested I try them out before leaving for Mexico to make sure I like how they feel. If I remember correctly she suggested getting them done 3-4 weeks before we depart, decide if I like the feel of them, they come back for a fill before we go. Just a suggestion for you as well!

Thanks @perianjay and @ashhtayy!

I can definitely see that having them for photos would be worth it, I'm just worried about the other 13 days we're there and looking over the top. A trial is a good idea, maybe I can time it to have the wedding I'm in on April 2nd and then refill before we leave for Mexico.

@deecol Oh I would definitely do that! And who cares if you look over the top post wedding? It's your wedding week and your wedding trip! From what I hear and read you'll appreciate the time it saves you in the mornings - more time to be enjohing time with your guests during your trip and you look like you put mascara on when you didn't. I say do it.

Haha don't worry about looking like a glam goddess on your wedding week, you deserve it!

They won't look over the top, I promise!
I wore sunglasses when I was beach bumming so no one even noticed them anyway.

I'd suggest bringing waterproof mascara though if you do get them. You're going to be down there an entire week before the wedding and some may fall out since they fall out naturally. Just as a precaution in case
