Dreamart Photography

Recommended Posts

I've just posted this in another forum so apologies for anyone having to read this twice, haven't posted much on here and didn't realise there was a vendor forum I could post in!

Hi Ladies,

I'm getting married next year at Moon Palace and their only approved photography vendor is DreamArt Photography. I've looked at other photographers, and actually really wanted Del Sol but with an $800 vendor fee, they are just going to be too expensive for us.   I've searched on here and through blogs and google for other photographers to get the one best suited to our taste for the best price and DreamArt seem to be that for us. We really like their style from their catalogue and website but I can't seem to find any reviews! Does anyone have any experience with them that would be so kind to direct me to some photos? As much as the photos on their website look great, I'm worried they are a few of their best photos. I'd like to see some real wedding photos and see which are associated with which photographer so I can see if I can request a photographer that I like.

Thanks in advance  :)

Hey SunshineDreamKay,

I have done few weddings at some of the Palace resorts here, sometimes when you explain to the hotel why you do not want to work with the in house photographer, they might reduce the fee or other option is to actually book your desired photographer a room at the resort.

Goodluck and Happy Planning!

Joyce is right - this has been our experience of capturing weddings at the Moon Palace Resort:

Moon Palace: We have shot the Moon Palace many times now and haven’t had a problem. We’ve had to spend the night twice and most recently we are only required to have a day pass. They have their own photographers on location and push hard for you to use them. From experience here, if your package includes video and photography there will be ALOT of photographers fighting for space. If you hire us it is best to cancel the photographer included in your Moon Palace package. Moon Palace has a policy of no outside vendors. They will allow you to get around this rule by telling them that you are bringing in your own “guest” to shoot the wedding for you. They may require you to get us a day pass or tell you your “guest” must be booked into the hotel for the night. This is just how the Moon Palace works but will allow us to capture your wedding as your guest. We have been that “guest” many times now.

Here are some samples of what the beautiful Moon Palace provides as a backdrop to your Wedding Day Photo Story:

Thank you both.

@@dreamweddings, I wasn't sure if we were able to book a room for a photographer. I thought they still charge the same vendor fee for anyone using professional cameras.

I'm really struggling with this at the moment as I can't find any actual reviews for DreamArt and have recently discovered that we can not choose a photographer. I have been told they all have the same style, which even so, every photographer will be slightly different and I'd prefer to be able to choose. I don't want to receive wedding photos and not be happy with the result.

They shouldnt especially after booking a room for them. contact your hotel coordinator and let them know you do not like the style of their in house and you really want a photographer of your choice.

There is always an option.

Happy Planning!

You're very welcome Pricilla, and thx for the accolades :) We're happy to send you our price list via pm if you'd like to send us your email address.....you can see our contact info in our signature at the end of this post :)

At this time, we still have your wedding date of June 11, 2016 available in our calendar.

We strongly recommend to our wedding couples, that if photography is important to them at all, they'd be much happier with a professional photographer's images than the ones from a resort photographer. As you've already found out, you won't even know which resort photographer will be assigned for your wedding - so it's quite a risk!

Here are some comparisons of images captured by a professional photographer vs a resort photographer......so you can see for yourself......Professional Photographer vs Resort Photographer Image Album:

Which one tells the more heart-felt story that you'd choose to cherish for your lifetime together?!??!

We're not saying you need to hire us, there are lots of great professionals in our area who would create an Amazingly beautiful Wedding Day Love Story in images for you :)

Wishing you happy research and all the best with your plans - cheers!!! team mtm :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
