Calling For Rain On Your Wedding Day?!

Recommended Posts

We were just in PDC last week. Before we left, there was lots of rain & thundershowers showing up in the forecast. But while we were there, it rained only once, and I would barely even call that rain. We didn't even bother to get up off our loungers.

I've been to the area 5 times and now and, as others have mentioned, these forecasts don't seem to be all that accurate. Or the forecast images are misleading. If you drill down into the forecast details, you might find that it's only a 30 or 40% chance of less than 5mm of rain (0.2 inches). And it can also be isolated - so it might rain a little further away in the jungle, but not at the beach.

If it does rain, your WC will make sure everything goes smoothly. They are experts at this and know how to handle it. But my WC told me that he only had to move 4 weddings inside last year! Fingers crossed for you!

Congrats! Hope you had a fabulous time and that you'll do a review of your stay and post pics! The ladies here love to see the photos!!

Glad to hear you had the perfect day you wished for!

That being said, there's lots of beauty to be found in every kind of day....and the rainy ones inspire another level of passion in Linc to find the "gold" in the images he captures  :)

@@acw271011 - Thank you, but we were just there on vacation! :D Getting married in a year. But we were able to visit our resort for an afternoon, so it was a great opportunity to see it in person.

Any photos and impressions/opinions are a help to the ladies here! Doesn't matter if it's not your wedding yet lol Even if you just have an impression of the WC, that's a help to the brides to be as well! Hope you had a great vacation!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
