Acw271011 So This Is Not A Planning Thread.... But

Recommended Posts

I smiled when you said 'sexy guy'. Ahhhh I love the love you two have. Such a role model for all of us :)

The dress is fabulous and I would leave it as is. It's beautiful and I think his mouth would drop open like you were going for.

Can't see the attachments on my iPhone. Will check at home and post.

Thanks Kim. That's such a nice thing to say! Truly I think part of the reason we're as good together as we are is because we both came from yucky first marriages. I think it makes you appreciate finding love again just that little bit more. Plus, with everything we've been through, I don't question whether he loves me. I've said before there are very few guys that would stick by with what I've put him through. Don't get me wrong - there are times when I'd like to pour a glass of icy cold water over his head!!! lol He can be very bossy sometimes when he wants to be. I just tell him I don't work for him! (he's vp level at what he does and has people that report to him). We've already been together almost as many years as we were both married!

Thanks for the bit on the dress. You really don't think it's too much for Mexico? I absolutely LOVE the keyhole back that it has (shoot I just realized I didn't post a pic) but I'm just worried that it's a bit over the top. We're not on the beach - we're on a rooftop terrace, then a restaurant for dinner. I'm hoping to get pictures done through the town of Playa del Carmen. But you're right - Doug's mouth would probably drop open!

I am going to be honest....  the more time I spend looking at all these beautiful the dresses, the more open I wish I would have been with my dress.  Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my dress but I had that destination wedding dress in mind and sometimes I wish I would have ventured further.  That dress is stunning and I don't think it's too much for Mexico whatsoever.  Even more so since you are on the rooftop terrace!   Seriously, stunning!

I looked at all the cards - OMG they are really all great.  I think I like 2 or 3 best, only because I LOVE the color that comes with them.  If I were to use 1, I would make the Mexico the hot pink you have used in 2 and 3.  All are a good option though.

You're absolutely right about the pink. I didn't realize I hadn't changed the colour back. I lightened it to try and see if I could insert them into the blue pouches and have it show through and it didn't work. But I forgot to change the colour back to the fuschia colour, which is what my flowers are going to be. I changed it up and the font as well on the date and I think it looks a bit better.

I love the dress. I really wanted a dress with cap sleeves so I'm kinda biased that way ;). I really don't think it's too much because like Kim said, you'll be on the terrace. Plus, it's your wedding and you can wear anything you'd like :). I think whether you decide to keep it like this or take out one layer from underneath it will look great.

I like the first and the third inserts the best. I think the first is nice, simple and clear, but the third one is also nice with the picture. Another thing to consider is that if you're printing them at home maybe the first one might come out better. Sometimes, unless you have a super nice printer it's hard for the pictures to come out really sharp.

Thanks on the dress! I do think it's pretty and is a good compromise on the one that I originally wanted. Now to see what the pricing is!

You're absolutely right about the printer. I did test printing and while I thought I had a good one, which I do, for printing the tags the colours just don't come out very well. So I'll take a look around to see where I can print them from. If you have a suggestion I'm open to it!! lol I do like the picture but I also like the simple one. Now that I'm attaching it on the outside rather than putting it in the pouch, I can do the colours that I want to use.

I don't know why I read this haha. I kind of answered on another thread but I thought Staples did a pretty good job at printing and cutting our invitations. It was also fairly cheap. But it might also take you a trial or two to get the colors right. You'll even find that their printers will be different from yours so it's a whole other story. They printed a proof for us but I'm not sure how many they'll print if you want to change the colors. I just tweaked them a bit after the proof and sent them over hoping for the best. I thought they turned out really well.

Something I just thought of, if you're using the tag with the picture, how about trying photo paper? Sometimes photos on regular paper look pretty different. If it still doesn't work or is just too much, it's probably easier to print the simpler ones :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
