Weather By Months In Mexico

Recommended Posts

but yours was in winter so it made sense :).

I remember when we went to Disney World in August. At around 2pm we needed to go back to the hotel and rest for a couple of hours before going back because it was just sooo hot. That or find somewhere with AC to shelter in for an hour or two hahah.

Agreed!!! We are going to Vegas in August (see my post on your planning thread) and all I can say is 'who's dumb idea was this?!?' Lol hotter than heck there.

Ours is at 4:00pm.. I hope it isn't too late in the day. I did kind of want to get a bit of a 'sunset' feel for the photos.

I know a December bride who started at 4 and had reception at 6. Worked for them. I was worried we'd start late and then it would be dark and and... And .. Lol. Just my nerves.

There is a website that will tell you exactly what time the sun will set in any given point, on any given day. Because it is so hot and the sun doesn't set until 7:26 on our big day we chose to have our ceremony at 7pm. But every bride wants something different! If it were up to me we would wed under the stars. As far as rain, whenever it rains Maya Riviera, I think it's just brief. I wish for all brides to have a beautiful wedding to remember.

Agreed. We are hiring a photographer for 2 hours total on wedding day, so it's captured more naturally, day, sunset, night (full moon in fact) without poses. Well maybe a few.....And then for good daylight photos, we are having a ttd session 2 days later at 4 or 5pm. Hoping this allows things to feel not only more natural but allows for a cooler temp at night for our actual wedding without sacrificing "our" photos.... Trying to make it all work nicely.

I did some research and unfortunately for me, they're predicting a strong hurricane season this year. It's selfish to think this way but I hope it misses our week haha and/or that they're wrong. Just something to keep in mind if you haven't booked :)

It's always a gamble with hurricane season, but keep in mind that you're there only for a week out of the 5 months that the season lasts and not all hurricanes that form will hit your destination. I'm trying to stay positive that nothing will happen, but I'm going to ask my TA what happens if there's one predicted for our week. I would hope they can just let us change our date.

When we met with our TA, she actually said, summer months are cheaper, you take that risk, but then again half the year is hurricane season so we decided to take it, so you basically give one thing for the other :)

ouch. who has the hurricane predictions out? I didn't think they were this early! lol We're October so a strong season worries me as well, especially the Yucatan area of Mexico! They always seem to get hit!

@@acw271011 apparently, it's some kind of accurate method, about 87% accurate. I'm hoping they're wrong and/or that all this is just a scam haha. It's from here:

Let's hope this year falls in that 13% of inaccuracy! haha

I thought a photographer chimed in on another thread - maybe de sol - that said they predict a strong hurricane season every year and then it changes. Have to think which thread that was in.

@@calgarybride2015 @@acw271011 Agreed, I think it was on this thread. I haven't put much thought to it since I saw it to be honest. I decided that weather is so unpredictable, and if we're going to go by statistics, the further away you are from a date the less statistical power your prediction has. They can barely get tomorrow's weather right, let alone the weather in 6 or 8 months!

As I said before, out of every time I have gone to Mexico, August was the best weather i've had. The fiance went in May one year with his friends and the weather was great, but we went the next May and it was crap :P. I think October will be perfect, because it won't be as hot ;)

I will, however, double check with my TA as to what would happen in the worst case scenario. It's just good to be aware.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
