$100 Riviera Maya - Cenote Trash The Dress Session - Jan 2015

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

I have a Cenote Trash The Dress session I am trying to sell for $100. It was originally an addition to our wedding photography package.  My fiancé and I will no longer be able to do it as we will instead be touring around Playa Del Carmen and Tulum with our families.

Our wedding photographer Enrique of Decordova Photography has agree to take a different couple so that the session is not wasted. You can contact Enrique from Decordova Photography to make arrangements at
[email protected] or through his website at www.decordova.ca. Mention my name Emma and Trash The Dress to get it for $100

The details of the session are:

  • Cenote Trash The Dress – Riviera Maya
  • Date:  January 16, 2015 or January  18, 2015
  • Durration 3-4hr
  • Includes pick-up and drop-off from your resort

I hope someone makes use of it as a little New Year’s treat from us.

Love,
Emma

What an awesome gesture! I'm sure there is someone here that will be able to make use of it!

Good luck for your wedding. I'm sure it will be beautiful!

That date would work for me but I don't have a dress to trash!!! But it's a great gesture on your part and I hope some bride can use it :) congrats on your wedding

Actually the term “Trash the Dress” is a bit misleading in terms of damage to your dress.

A Trash the Dress session includes getting sandy, walking or jumping  into the ocean, swimming in cenotes and climbing up on rocks or locations you normally would not in a wedding dress!  Most dresses can withstand the sandy beach and salt water without a problem.

We recommend rinsing your dress with fresh water when you return to your room. Once you are back home, you can have it cleaned and more often than not, it will be as good as new. Ironically, the dress tends to get a bit dirty on the wedding day, while the TTD cleans it.

Here's a link to one of our latest TTD sessions in Playa del Carmen......with excerpts shown here:

Wishing you a very Happy New Year, and all the best with your plans - Cheers!!! team MTM :)

I totally agree. I should just state in my case I'd have to do the TTD before the wedding and I'm not willing to risk that with only one dress to wear :)

My dress will remain sealed in the garment bag until the big day. I don't mind it wet or sandy after the ceremony when we do the mini beach session between the ceremony and reception. I'm already excited.

Our photographer calls the session rock the dress. Maybe that means it can be any lovely dress :)

Exactly. No one is seeing my dress until the ceremony :) if I had another dress I would totally do a trash or rock the dress session before the wedding!

My engagement photographer does rock the dress sessions. It's just a time for you to wear your dress again outside your wedding :)

Where are you marrying and what day? I'm the 21st!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
