Hi, Just my opinion but glad to share! Iberostar Cancun is a beautiful property, in a great location! It is modern, and lobby, rooms and facilities are all very impressive. They have a great beach, and are close to all the fun of the Hotel Zone.

If I have any criticism of Iberostar chain in general is that sometimes their properties feel a little generic.. like when you are inside the resort could be in Mexico or Las Vegas.. they do not have a whole lot of local flavor.. but that said, the use of granite, and crystal and top quality materials is lavish. the food is great, and I think it is a great choice.

If I can be of any help to you in getting prices, or general information please just let me know!

TA Wendy

We went to a site visit here and it is amazing. We spent time with Paula who is the wedding coordinator and she is the sweetest person ever and she had her own wedding there. They have a secluded beach area for the wedding and have a more reception hall space for afterwards. I have a bunch of pictures and stuff if you want to see!

Hi, I'm not sure Im doing this correctly. So I apologise if I'm not. I booked my wedding about a month ago for here for this July and am really looking for some more information. I have never been to this hotel before. Although I am happy with my choice it would be great if I could get some photos and Info if you would be happy to share this with me?

Hi everyone I am new to this and really hoping for some extra info. I booked my wedding about a month ago and my wedding is the beginning of July. As many of you may know sometimes communication between bride and wedding coordinator can be a bit slow and I am growing more and more impatient in wanting information regarding my big day! I have one question I really need answering and that is does anyone know what the the vendors fee for bringing in an outside photographer is? I feel I could get more for my money by doing this but not if the hotel are going to charge me a huge vendors fee. I hope someone can help me. ????????????

Hello Everyon, I am booked to have my wedding in December of 2015.  I was working with Audrina as well but havent heard from her in a while.  Does anyone know what the standard wedding package comes with as far as set up for the ceremony?  Will they provide chairs?  Its hard to tell what is included since the picutres show an elaborate decorated area.

Also, i was told we could upgrade to a private reception for a cost of $42/person

Hi this is what I have for the iberostar cancun star wedding package (cheapest package there is). Received from my travel agent.

~ Minister,judge or priest

~ Witnesses if required

~ Set up of wedding venue (canopy chairs and table with white linen)

~ Champagne toast after ceremony

~ Bridal boquet

~ Buttonhole for the groom

~ Wedding cake (traditional white frosting, decorated with fresh flowers)

~ Wedding dinner in speciality restaurant (for 1.5hours)

Star package is based on 10 people including bride and groom

Additional guests (over the 10) staying at the hotel will be charged a local fee of $20usd per person

Additional guests (over the 10) staying at a different iberostar will be charged a local fee of $40usd - $75usd per person

Additional guests staying at a non iberostar property will be charged a local fee of $80

I do also know after enquiring myself about this is that the additional guests staying at a non iberostar that are children are $40usd per person

I have also found out this extra information. You can have a private dinner for $42usd per person. This includes a 3 course dinner with 3 hours open bar.

Or you could just have a private open bar in one location for $13usd per person

Petals sprinkles over aisle (on beach) $18usd

There are 2 restaurants with beach/sea view for your wedding reception the tepanyaki Japanese or the steak house (there may be more options but her email was slightly unclear as I did state I wanted beach/sea view)

For the onsite wedding photographer packages start at $695usd

I am still waiting for a response in regards to vendors fees if I bring in an outside photographer

You also need to pay for sound system and CD player for ceremony this is $160usd

You know about blood tests, Translation and apostille fees?

I hope this helps @@mahone31

Thank you.  So the ceremony they will set up chairs for all of the guest?  I was then thinking I would just have to figure out a way to bring things with me to try to decorate the ceremony area.  We are goin to get married in the grass in front of the beach and not actually in the sand.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
