The week I am getting married is actually right after all the holidays and the rates are dirt cheap. Whats your email? I can send you pics and info when I get back. I contacted the wedding coordinator about 5 times this week and of course no response so def need to go over there.

Hi there!

I too am getting married at this hotel in April. Can you tell me a little about your experience at the hotel and also about the coordinators? Connie hasn't been returning my emails so I'm hoping to hear from her soon.

Thanks!

I am getting married on April 18th and I booked this on May 12th, 2014. I spoke to Daniel and she booked it in for me. I am interested in going in December. Are you going alone?

ladies I just got some pricing for the photographer, centerpieces and such. I can email them to you. I have to say I wasn't expecting those prices. We have 82 people booked so it's going to be costly.

Hi!

I found a great photographer in Costa Rica who may be more affordable than what the hotel offers.

His name is Toh Gouttenoire. He offers great packages with very reasonable prices! Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi @@meli0981!!! I'm also getting married here in April!!!

There are lots of brides getting married in the FB group and several of us in April. Like @@bkprettygirl mentioned joining FB just for the group will be worth it as all of us have been sharing information with each other as we get it since it's takes awhile to get response from the coordinators.

Did you get in trouble for saying "fb group"? ...

I was told that advertising the FB group was a forum violation (its not even my group...lol... I didn't realize i was "advertising" I was just trying to help a bride)... I had no Idea

Do you think it was the link that was the violation... or just saying "fb group" ... lol... I asked the owner and im waiting to hear back

Does anyone have a link to the member forum rules?

:(  No, I didn't get a message about anything. Ooops... I didn't know either. I guess I better find the rule and read up.

@@bkprettygirl Only thing I found was a pinned post in the Newbies section under Forum News and Updates about not posting a link to FB groups. You'd think they'd pin a post in that section about general forum rules but apparently that makes too much sense or it's too difficult for them to do!

Hi Ladies,

We just confirmed our wedding date for November 19th at Dreams Las Mareas.

I have also had very poor communication with our coordinator Claudia.

When I emailed the resort request the 19th for our date, she sent me all this paperwork to fill out, asking where we wanted the ceremony & reception, and wanted various information for the booking. I thought this was a little strange because I had yet to see any photos of venue options to be able to provider her with that information. I ended up filling it out to the best of my knowledge (thinking I will change things down the road as I receive more information), and sending it in. After she confirmed my deposit was taken, and the wedding date was booked, she then proceeded so send me VERY little information and photos - still not sufficient enough for me to make those decisions. She said she will contact me 4 months before the wedding date to go over more details, however, I would like to have more of an idea now so I can decide if I want to bring in my own vendors, and perhaps bring my own center pieces, linens, etc.

I'm hoping some of you ladies might have more pictures or information and pricing on decor items and venue information that you wouldnt mind sharing with me!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
