@@spjwedding I will Check into Secrets and Excellence too....I'm not worried about the end of November...My Parents usually go to the DR ever year in Nov and they haven't had a problem yet...although with my luck lately!

I don't think your being selfish at all...you want what we all want and dream of since we were kids. ..don't settle because you will regret it! Stay strong and don't sweat the small stuff...it will all be worth it...because your creating memories...its not just a day but a day filled with happiness and cherished memories forever :)

I am getting married at Dreams Palm Beach in Punta Cana. Dreams, Secrets and NOW resorts are all with AM, but I know that Secrets are one of the more expensive ones, so be aware of that if you were hoping to keep it on the cheaper end for your guests.

I have finally BOOKED my wedding!! I ending up with The Grand Palladium Bavaro Suites Resort & Spa...was able to keep my original deposit with the hotel and just switched the date! Got some pretty good prices from Air Canada Vacations for late Nov and put down the deposit yesterday!! So in one year from now I will be on a beach with all my friends and family!!!

 

So excited to get back on here and start planning!! I'm sure that there are many more bumps in store, but I think now it will seem easier compared to.  Thank you to everyone who responded to this thread and sent me PM's, you helped me keep my sanity!!

So excited to hear this @@Meandhim ! Such an exciting time! I know for myself choosing the resort and destination were the most stressful! Once that has been decided it should be smooth sailing (hahha ok maybe that's being a little TOO optimistic lol!), but most things after that will be much easier!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
