I Am Renewing My Vows And I Need A Good Hotel :)

Recommended Posts

Hi,

We are renewing our vows and since we didn't have a wedding ceremony we want to have a big one back home :) I was looking at hotels in Punta Cana (I am from Higuey a city 30 mins from there) but most of the packages are for weddings not renewals. I tried calling a few places but I guess they're not that great replying back :( We have about 100 guests. I feel lost!!!!

You can have a vow renewal at most of the resorts.  Some even have a free wedding is you book so many nights in a certain room category.

We have a few PC specialists on here if you want to contact them and ask questions.

Congratulations!! Sounds amazing! I'm sure as Tammy said one of their specialists could help you out with information on what you're looking for!

I'm working on a vow renewal too for next year if all goes well. Have fun and happy planning!

Congratulations!

I'm also renewing my vows, but I'm having a very intimate ceremony-just me and the hubby. Have you considered Jamaica? The Couples Resorts offer (IMO) a good bang for your buck. They have tons of activities that are included in the all inclusive rate and their vow renewal ceremony package is the most robust I've seen. The only thing is that the Couples Resorts caters to well...couples. So if your 100 person guest list is 50 couples then you're good. Otherwise, you're charged for guest passes for the ceremony & reception.

Honestly,I was going to go there and the only thing that changed my mind is that I think their photo packages are the pits! And photography to me is..shh don't tell anyone ..more important than my dress.(well a larger part of my budget is going towards photography than to my dress) So I'm bringing my own photographer and they charge an extra

$500 to do so. So I switched to a resort in St. Lucia, that's a more expensive resort but less expensive to bring my own photographer. Since its just me and the old man and we're not going until 2015 we can spend a little more on the vow renewal and just go to the Couples Resorts for a vacation.

I say definitely check them out, especially if you're an active couple.

HTH!

Renewing vows as well.. I was told Paradius punta cana is beautiful.. I've seen pictures and I've had my eye on that resort.. I do see that brides have their reception at the jellyfish resturant not sure the difference from the hotel reception to the jellyfish.. Good luck on everything :-)

This is great that there are quite a few vow renewals! I'm working at October 2015 for our anniversary and I'm pretty much sold on Mexico. It's a place we've been several times and really love. We were married in Jamaica mostly because I didn't want the expense of doing all the translating. We loved the Gran Bahia Principe Jamaica and it's someplace I would recommend to anyone thinking about a resort in Jamaica. But we have been through a lot in a very short period of time and since I'm very lucky to still be here I want to go back to a place that we love and say thank you to the love of my life. We still have a bit more to get through which is why we can't celebrate until next year. I have 4 resorts that I'm really going to have a tough time picking from. The Gran Porto Real in Playa del Carmen and the sister resort The Royal. As well I like what I've seen on here about Playacar Palace so I think I'm going to do the webinar next month. And today I discovered the Grand Palladium Riviera and wow! We're hopefully going to be a small group of about 8 or 10 and I definitely want pictures too! I've been in touch with a couple of the Mexican photographers so far and I really like Cecilia Dumas. Other than that, I know what I want to wear and what I would like to see my husband wear, and that's as far as I've gone. But I still have so much time yet so I'm not in a rush at the moment.

Good luck to you other ladies renewing and happy planning. This is a wonderful site for resources and information!

    • Watches as a gift can never go wrong. Couple necklaces, or special jewelry can also be a great choice.
    • As a wedding gift, necklaces are a good choice.
    • So thanks to coronavirus, my husband and I have had to make alterations to our wedding. I don’t think I have to put this in, but this isn’t a joke and need we thoughts on this.   We’re planning on having our full, entire wedding inside this bubble (I’m inside it for scale). This is to get complete isolation from the virus and to prevent it from spreading to either of us, or if we have the virus somehow, spreading it to others. Both of will get inside it for the whole day (or at least that’s the plan). We are ok with making small to moderate changes from a typical wedding if it means isolating inside a bubble, but any big changes would mean we probably won’t use the bubble then. Are there any parts in the wedding that would be difficult or downright impossible to do inside this bubble? What are your thoughts on this idea, and what would need to be changed from a traditional wedding?
    • Amazon it is a paradise for shopping. I always buy from this platform, especially when I look for a present. I've already set up Amazon Pro, for advanced buyers, and for free shipping, lol. In fact, I bought a lot of different products here. I like to make beautiful gifts, and packaging means a lot to me. I usually chose all the parts of the gift and then packed them at home by myself. But recently, at the wedding of my friend, I did not have time at all and I decided to look for a service that can help me. As a result, I came across a good website where you can buy different gift baskets. jetgiftbaskets.com I bought her a Wedding Wishes gift basket, and she was very happy. This service has excellent service, as good as amazon has.
