Hello Ladies,

So I love taking photographs! My FI and I are looking into getting a nice camera. I use to have a Canon rebel while I was doing photography when I was younger (before digital)

I was wondering what camera do you life?

I am a fan of Canon but I also know Nikon makes great cameras as well. I am looking for one where I can change the lens.

Thanks for your help!

K

Hola K! I started my photography career with a Canon Rebel, and I just love them! They're small and practical. If you choose to buy one of those, also buy a 50mm f/1.8 lens (for a short telephoto), or a 35mm f/2.0 (for a "normal" lens), you'll get the most image quality out of the camera that way. Those lenses, along with the 18-55mm lens that comes standard with the Rebel Kit, would make your photography adventures so much more interesting :)

    Hope it helps :)

@Samuel Luna (or anyone else too) - any recommendations for a point and shoot or something easy to transport on the honeymoon?

Speaking of waterproof cameras, has anyone used any waterproof housing devices for your iPhone? Do they work?

The lifeproof case for iPhone works great.

I have an Olympus Tough waterproof digital camera. I LOVE it! Bought it 5 years ago and still takes amazing pictures. No sign of wear and tear!

@Csonnel - Thank you so much! I've heard great things about life proof but it makes me nervous thinking of taking my iPhone in the water.

@Rainmaker Oh I can definitely understand! I was too at first but it has been water skiing/wakeboarding/swimming in the lake no problem! (No oceans where I am :) )
