Recommended Posts

Thank you so much for the recommendation of wed pics. I think I will try it out :)

My wedding will be at 430 also in hope for no rain and cooler temperture. Regardless if we all have loved ones and the right people with us it will be a beautiful wedding

I'm more concerned about heat during the ceremony (my reception is indoors). What time is everyone's ceremony starting? I am currently at 4pm but wondering if it should be later.

@@Jennypert

I've been so inconsistent with my diet and exercise. I've just gotten back on track.  I purchased my dress 7 lbs heavier than I am now and it fit then.  I was just hoping to lose more.

Where did you buy your veil weights?

My ceremony starts at 5pm with the reception starting at 7pm.  Sunset is around 7:30pm so we should plenty of daylight for the pictures.  I have the photographer coming at 3:30pm to start taking getting ready pictures plus I wanted some time before the ceremony to have a few shots of the 2 of us.

I had my final dress fitting today and hallelujah!!  My dress fits even with the plus 7-8 lbs I gained since I bought it.  When I said I wanted to lose 6-8 more, the seamstress said not to try because then the dress will be too loose.  OK - just the excuse I needed to not work so hard on dieting and exercising!! :P

I got the veil weights on Amazon for about $12 for 6. If you goggle 'veil weights; you can find several shops plus I found a couple on Etsy.  Most were in the range of $35-65 but I went with the cheap ones,

Tonight, FI and I are going to work hard on our reception music!  Gonna get this all figured out tonight.

I've also made my ceremony programs and menus on Word, just need to print them out.  I've also made my placecards and just need to buy some ribbon to tie them to my maracas for the table.

I also need to do my table numbers (just 3, lol).  We're going do flameless candles and wrap vellum around the glass with the table number on it.  Other than that, we're almost ready to go!

Anyone else doing a sand ceremony?

Yes, we are doing a sand ceremony.  I bought the kit and sand on WeddingWire last year.

Exactly one month from this moment I will be getting ready to walk down the aisle!!

SO EXCITED!

This weekend was so productive!  I've finished my OOT bags, almost done with my music selections, and I've made my seating chart and table numbers.  I also started packing my wedding decorations in my carry on bags.  It's getting so close!!

@@vanessav53  Congratulations!  Now on to the Main Event!!!   :)

We are flying down on Tuesday, June 3 for our wedding on Friday, June 6th.  I just sent in my music list for the DJ and have finished packing the OOT bag stuff and decorations.  It's taking up a lot more space than I thought it would.

I asked the Karisma Miami wedding planner if she could schedule the meeting with the on site wedding coordinator.  I want to get that done with as soon as we can so I can just relax and enjoy my guests until the wedding.  That's the real beauty of a destination wedding.  You don't have a lot of last minute running around to make sure everything is ready.  The resort should take care of all of those details.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
