Hi there, I'm not too familiar with what's available in Montego bay, but I know there's Hummingbird hall in Montego bay.http://www.hummingbirdhall.com

They don't provide accommodation, but it's a private house, and they would only do 1 wedding a day. Also in Negril there's a lovely private villa, it's called llantrisant, here's link

http://www.beachcliff.com

We're still deciding on a wedding supplier, but the 2 suppliers we're talking to are, Pat Gar sales and services, their number is 876-971-4336, don't have a website, but they should be able to send you info via e-mail. The other place is called the wedding centre, their e-mail is weddingcentrembj@@gmail. com

Both of those places provide everything from flowers, table linen, favours, decorations etc....

Hope that helps! :-)

I am also planning to have my wedding at a villa in June 2015.  So far it seems that some villas come with a wedding coordinator that work with different vendors to get brides good deals.  You could also opt to use a wedding coordinator for some services.

Have you visited SunVillas, jamaicavillas.com, Tryall club? You could maybe even try reaching out to wedding coordinators that can help you find a villa Helen G Events, Stoosh Wedding, White Lights...Hope this kind of helped.

Hi ladies!

I just contacted Helen G Events for help with my wedding in Montego Bay in November!

We were originally going to get married at the resort we're staying at - The Royalton White Sands but now we're not so sure!

@@Francine Braham did you decide on a villa yet? I would love to know! I'm getting married Monday, November 17th, 2014. Also, are you working with a wedding planner?

@@pamelas21.....I am considering doing a villa also, however, I did book my stay at Royalton White Sands.  The issue I found is that RWS is very popular and many people are booking it.  I am concerned that they won't have rooms available when my guests start booking later this year.  My other problem is my mom and dad don't want to fly.....they have asked if we would consider getting married on a cruise because they would drive to the port.  (That wasn't in my vision for my big day).  So now I am as confused and torn as to what to do!!!  Talk about stress!  :(

Sorry that I'm just seeing your post.  I also responded to your e-mail.  I went with a villa in Ocho Rios. It was more budget friendly.  My family and I will be staying at the villa for a few nights as well.  Yes, I am working with a wedding planner as well. I want to be as stress free as can be. lol.

Hi FutureMrsGlover,

I'm so sorry to read you're stressed! That's honestly a very tough decision in regards to your parents :( I don't even know what I would do! My fiance and I were set on having a beach wedding because we met on the beach 7 years ago - literally on vacation in Cuba!

Did you decide what you're going to do?

Also, wanted to mention that I had my guests put in deposits for the vacation through our TA this past March - so I gave 9 months - I get what you're saying about it selling out so I would suggest getting your guests to book as soon as you can!

Not sure how it works in the states but in Toronto they put a $150 deposit down and that holds their seats. Final payment isn't due until September....

Good luck,

Pam

@@pamelas21.....thanks!  I have de-stressed quite a bit.  I have decided to do the wedding my way (a cruise was not doing it for me!) lol.  The good thing is this is my second marriage.  (I am an older bride - 46 years young!!!)  My father walked me down the isle the first time.  I spoke with them and they understand why I want to have a destination wedding.  When we come home, we are going to have a dinner for the parents (my fiancé's parents won't be flying either).    I have realized there is way to make it all work out.

As far as the venue...once I come back from the site visit (June) I will be able to make my final decision and get my STDs out.  My travel agent is very good, so she will be able to get the everyone on a payment plan.

Hi FutureMrsGlover! OMG you do NOT look 46!! :))

I'm happy to hear you're happy and that your parents understand!

I can't tell you how lucky you are to be able to go and do a site visit!

Keep me posted!

Pam :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
