Hi there, so happy to have found this website! Google search rocks. I'm in Ontario, Canada. Starting the investigation portion of this wedding planning thing. Oh my. I'm looking for a very no frills, cheap wedding, will do the JP at home to save on paperwork hassles. I'm thinking Mexico or Cuba - are there any Cuba forums on here? I wasn't sure if this was an American driven site or not? Cuba is by far my fave country, and definitely the cheapest in terms of the price quotes I've gotten so far.

I also need to find cheap dress sites, ...and the list goes on!

Congrats on your engagement travelluvr!!! and beginning your destination wedding plans - how Exciting!

 

You may already have seen this, however here is some info on Cuban weddings which you may find helpful :)  If you're considering Mexico, we can attest to the incomparable beauty of our new home region (we're originally from Canada :) of the Mayan Riviera :)

How are you plans going, traveluvr? any progress on choosing your destination yet? we're based in Playa del Carmen, so naturally biased to the incomparable beauty of the Mayan Riviera!

Hey! Congrats and welcome! I'm an Ontario bride aswell, I've chosen Jamaica for my wedding but we were originally thinking Cuba. For me it was a toss up between Santa Clara and Holguin. If you haven't settled on a resort I'd be more than happy to make some suggestions, and you can definitely find more info in the forums from the past and present Cuba brides. Happy planning!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
