Jewelry Help Please

Recommended Posts

Well, for what it's worth - I think that was a great decision! :-) I was going to say that i LOVED the first ones and I didn't think the $35 was too outrageous. I think I spent like $42 on my wedding earrings...which felt like a LOT at the time, but I adored them and after searching for weeks wasn't about to pass them up!

I can't wait until you can try them on w/ your dress!! It's amazing what the accessories do to an already beautiful outfit!

Oh yeah...and just to chime in some more, I think Edyta's hairstyle would be lovely on you! and I love the flower clip you found...I know those can be pricey sometimes...did you get that one or find a different one?

also, I don't think w/ the dangly earrings, dress, fancy hair and veil (I'm assuming??) that a necklace would be necessary. I DO think the gold necklace would look out of place w/ the earrings you just bought. So I'm all for using it elsewhere. My MIL actually gave me a pearl necklace that was a gift from her mother - and it's LOVELY...but I already had the sparkly earrings and the trim on my dress was similar to yours...not very "pearly" at all. I ended up wearing the pearls to my rehearsal/dinner instead. I think it was a nice compromise and she wasn't offended at all.

Whew! That was long!! LoL! Sorry!

Thanks Rachelle! I did buy the starflower barette. I haven't gotten it yet but it's beautiful on the site.

I'm not wearing a veil but I think I'll be fine with the earrings and barrette. I don't normally wear much jewelry.. just diamond studs and a diamond pendant that my FI bought for me one X-mas. I wore dangly earrings today as a test and while they don't feel natural, they aren't bugging (yet). :) My dress has sparkle so I think I'll have enough bling..

I decided to wear my great-grandma's necklace for our courthouse wedding and Pin it inside my dress for the beach ceremony. I'll give it to my grandma after the ceremony so it isn't lost on the beach somewhere. I plan on getting down at the reception and would die if anything happened to it. I also bought a memorial frame for my bouquet. My grandma and late grandpa are my favorite people ever and I hope she's pleased. Then again, hopefully my other grandma won't be upset the other late grandpa isn't on it. (We weren't close at all. They have over 50 grandkids..no lie!)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
