I just went snooping through this post because bridesmaids dresses were such a pain in the butt to find. I kept telling people the color was peacock and it confused everyone because there are different colors in a peacock feather. So then I started saying teal and that confused people and they started saying it was an ugly 1980's color and ugggggh the aggravation lol.

So we tried on dresses at a salon and I fell in love with a Bill Levkoff style but it only came in Navy blue. My maid of honor would not take the dress off and kept trying to convince me to change my color to navy blue- which is too dark for a destination wedding if you ask me.

But I managed to find a designer who carries the color I was looking for- Bari Jay- the color...is called peacock! LOL Like I originally stated! We thought of doing a peacock theme for the wedding but it can get borderline tacky if its all over the place. So we mellowed out the idea and are just going with a palette of blues. Our colors are navy blue, Aqua blue and the peacock blue. The navy- only bc my fiance picked a dark gray and navy blue suit for the wedding and I had to tie it in- but against the girls wearing the peacock it looks beautiful. Our church is all white so I think the blues will have a marine/ sailor vibe against the church. Here are our bridesmaids dresses:

I also LOOOOVE this style- same designer and each panel can be a different color or you can do two the same one different or get the dress in solid. I was concerned the navy would be too dark though but I love the look of the two-tones. Unfortunately for this panel dress- the peacock colored fabric is not an option. Otherwise this would be the winner with the peacock color on either side and the turquoise in the middle.

Either way they are both pretty dresses and I guess I can't go wrong. I just thought the peacock color was so rich looking and a nice contrast for the color of the water. I guess we will try both on and see what looks best although all my maids favor the first style. They like how its short in the front and flirty. Casual yet formal since our wedding is at night.

That's a pretty color. My sister decided on a highlow style as well and I think it's fitting for a beach wedding for us :)

What a chic dress! Definitely combining comfort and stylishness. But you can maximize the prettiness of that dress with the barefoot sandals, which can be used with or without any footwear on! Barefoot sandals will surely prettify your bridesmaids' overall look. Also, jewelry like necklace, earrings and bracelets will surely make your girls look more stunning!

Definitely, EVKnowsitall!!

Barefoot jewels are perfect not only for the wedding trip, but also a honeymoon and any vacation thereafter! They certainly make for an amazing souvenir of your wedding in paradise (and I'm talking from experience because I'm still wearing mine on all of my trips! :) If you'd like to order with your gorgeous colors, feel free to put in a custom request and we can dream them up together! :) Thanks for the kind words! XOXO

focus.gif  Should I go ahead and try to round up these dresses for my girls? Or should I wait to see if anything new comes out next season? Does anyone know when Davids Bridal will come out with new short dresses? I def need their orange or tangerine.. I've looked everywhere and there's is the only one that matches perfectly. wacko.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
