Photo booth question...

Recommended Posts

I really want a photo booth as the guest book, but I need ideas. I thought of painting some antique frames and using props as well as a whiteboard to write a message to the bride and groom and use my DSLR camera and tripod for snapshots, but then they wouldn't get to keep some pics for themselves. Polaroids "give" you the pics after being taken but where and how will I go about buying or renting one? Or would it be better to rent a photo booth, if that is possible? Any suggestions would be awesome! :)

My aunt and uncle had a DIY photo booth at their anniversary party. They used just an average digital camera (not dSLR) and printed the pictures on a printer they brought along with. I'm not sure of the logistics of it, but I know it can be done! This article might help a little, it's one of the few that suggests using something other than your laptop's camera:

If you want something more instant, the Fuji Instax cameras seem a little more popular than Polaroids, and the film should be easier to find. It would have a nostalgic feeling!

Oh my goodness, the Instax would be a bit more manageable on the beach than a big photo booth setup! I think the instant prints would be fun for everyone.

Thank you! Does anyone have any pricing info or personal experience to share about this vendor?  So far, from what I see on the website, this is one of the better ones I've seen!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
