I had always envisioned my hair with a veil and a certain style but I had to change it.  I decided on something like this, I still think it will be beautiful.

So that same person (my godmother) who complained about it being too expensive made me consider maybe playing travel agent and i found that jetblue has a special program where if you  have a group traveling with you, they allow you to put down a $50 deposit/per person to book their flight and the balance must be paid off 60 days before we leave. I also have my aunt trying to get the local room rates since I also have a few family members from down there coming so i sent this massive text that detailed if anyone wanted to partake in this granted we get the room rates we want. The ones who obviously have not complained about it being expensive texted back and those "other" ones have not. Including 3 of these so-called bridesmaids. The Bridezilla in me wants them not to come at all anymore lol

That is a great deal!! I have to check it out see if they fly to my destination..only thing will be not included in my traveler's insurance.  Did you ladies purchase insurance?  Darn BM's should have been the first to respond. Maybe you need to kick up the zilla just a little...lol

Hugs to ya shugapop! My cousin who was just married played the song and her dad is deceased.  There was not a dry eye in the room she danced with her son and her older brother who both also walked her down the aisle.  It was so beautiful.  it was like we could all feel uncle's presence there.

It's an eBay store, I will post the name as soon as I get to my desktop....if anyone is in the NY/NJ area there is a shop called Renee Bridals in Bloomfield, NJ and all of his dresses are custom made by him (Renee) and super affordable. He's doing my alterations, if any one knows what the Maggie Sotero Divina gown looks like, made a replica for $800. He had me fooled because I said wow that Divina is beautiful and that's when he told me that every dress in his shop is custom made by him...of course you have to wait 4-6 mths for your gown.

Oh really I know about Arlene's it has been there for years but never heard of Renee's have to check them out. thanks!!!

B/c my song of choice would've been MArc Anthony's My Baby You (i know I know cliche cliche) and I bawl everytime I hear the song, my mom suggested this merengue by Tono Rosario "Yari, Yari" since obviously...it sounds like "Jali, Jali" and the chorus goes: Translation: Dance with me, Yari, Yari, Dance with me Yari, Yari, so I'll dance first with my dad and have him pass me over to my mom lol

here's the link in case anyone is curious lol. sorry i'm really excited about this b/c no one will expect it

That is so cute! I like it great dance beat!

Question....are you sending invites for your AHR to the people that plan to attend your destination wedding? I just think booking a venue at home would defeat the purpose of not wanting to spend $30k on a wedding reception. Maybe I will have a summer bbq after the wedding since bbq's are pretty cost effective. I'm so cheap!!!! lol

BBQ sounds great! I was thinking the same if I had a place large enough

I am hoping to be having something at home.. trying to find someplace not too expensive

I think it sounds like a cute idea... I didn't join it yet because I actually thought it would be neat if our little group started something like this??

Anyone interested?

Yes, I have I just read through it last week!  I think it is a great idea.  Doesn't look like it's still active so I left it alone.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
