I was thinking of that too... if you do off resort pics only.. what would you do for pics of actual ceremony? Oh I didn't mean I was doing off resort pics only. But I was going to use an outside photographer for TTD and off resort wedding/group pics around island. I was going to have to use resort pics or pic an outside photographer and pay for them as though they were a guest. .so definitely glad that they have now partnered with local outside vendors. One of which I was considering using already. As far as I understand. I don't have the details about this yet but when I look at the website I don't see anything about St. Lucia not having this options..... I am so undecided on what to do about this. I will wait to hear the options/pricing for the outside photographers (assuming it is an option) I really don't like the packages that the resort offers. Well I can say othet brides at my resort have said since now partners with resort their prices are higher than if you used them off resort. .which is crazy because girls have quote from outside photographer and when speaking with resort WC are informed of the resort pricing. So although you can now use one of the partner photographers you pay sandals pricing. Why I love these boards you get so much info. Most I know abouty resort I got from here. Did you check the website where it has the photographs pricing and packages. That's where it is for beaches turks. .but I heard it first here on BDW One of our friends that is coming is really into photography. I told her I wasn't thrilled with my options and asked if she would want to take pics for me. She was more then excited that I asked. After I saw the new program I wanted to get some info before I made any finally decisions on how much I want to leave picture taking to just her. I don't want her to feel like she is missing anything because I have asked her to do this and I want to get lots of group shots of everyone and I most definitely want her to be part of all of those. I talked to her about doing just a TTD type session and she was all over that. She said I shouldn't worry about her feeling excluded as she will make sure she is included in everything. We have a pinterest board going - the inspiration pictures she post on there are AMAZING and if she can capture moments like that for me I would be more then pleased!! She said she has a tripod and remote for her camera she will bring (so she can be in the group shots) I just don't want her to feel like hired help! haha Sorry that was a long answer! HAHA I'm just torn .... We are going to their house for dinner this weekend - I will talk to her more about it then and try to get a feel for what she is comfortable with : )
That's great that she wants to help out. And that she doesn't feel left out is important. Maybe after the dinner you will feel better about her decision. Looks like she has it covered though remote and tripod. Excuse the rambling. .

I have to confess to you ladies that you guys are slowly becoming my saviors/motivators . At least once a day for the last month I have a meltdown because I just can't imagine planning this whole thing. Ironically a decade ago , I was an events planner. That's probably the reason I could skip the whole big wedding thing. I'd like to go thru a drive thru chapel, but my FI is much more traditional and really wants this big wedding. The destination thing was a happy medium/ compromise for me. So after I spaz out and say I can't do this, put on my big girl pants and come on here. I live reding all the stuff you guys are into and it gets me excited . ( I do love a good party) lol! So thanks!!!!
Thanks to you because the same is true for me

Ahh - I understand what your doing! I will look again but I am pretty sure that the sandals website didn't give pricing for the new partners... it says "call for pricing" I will have to do some more digging... or I know my WC can get my info once I have one.... hahah Yeah a couple of my post have been in and out of the grey.... no worries hehe

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
