She prices around 150 for hair and 150 for makeup for the bride but seeing pictures i believe its worth it. The bridesmaids are a littlecheaper but not much. We are using EA flowers which is who my coordinator picked. The bouganville is cheap and again it dependa on what flowers you want imported aome are much more expensive than others. I really think it depends on where their being imported from. Like i said mine are being imported from miami and honestly i would be paying the same here for flowers if not more as my selection would be way bigger. I too will have a different bouquet from the girls. However i wont be using flowers as my centerpieces because i hear that geta very pricey. I have looked at the beaches blog and you would be shocked to see the fake flowers becaise they do look so real. I spoke with aome brides that ordered fake ones from etsy and loved them. You have to do whats in your budget and what works for you. Im excited and i agree it is alot planning something far away because it is so different than planning a wedding from home. But it is exciting. Are you making welcome bags. If so what are you putting in them. I love hearing everyones ideas.

Danie,

Great I am very excited about working with Jon! My coordinator is doing the flowers for me and she has told me she gets them from a local floral shop on the island but they do not have a websight or any other information. So I have to trust her that the flowers will be what I envisioned! Im still contemplating doing fake flowers but we will see if its practical or less costly. We are doing welcome bags. I think we are going to include a personalized cuzi's(spelling?), some snacks, maps of the island and tourist info, a bottled water, and thats probably it. We may make labels to put on the bottle of water but unsure right now. How about you guys? Are you doing favors? If so what will they be?

I am also planning on being a 2013 T&C bride. We are looking at October because we it a late start planning after we were engaged this past June. Figured I need to give my guests about a year notice since its a destination wedding. Leaning towards Grace bay club, seven seas or regent Palms. A friend of mine got married at Grace Bay Club and loved it. she used Brillant for videography and had a great experience. How much difference in pricing was Eye Spice and Brillant for photography? Also DJ versus band? Figured band would be a lot more and wouldn't play popular music like a DJ but need recommendation for a solid DJ who will be accommodating and play what you want. I would love steel drums or guitarist for ceremony and cocktail hour. Suggestions? Is anyone planning on getting their actual marriage license ahead of time in states and just having ceremony in Turks? Leaning towards that to avoid issues with paperwork. My parents are worried about having problems with certificates later so want me to legally get married in states. Would love to hear everyone's experiences with all the above!

Hi dani I am new to site and blog but was reading your posts and you seem very organized! :). I am looking to get married in oct 2013 at Grace Bay club most Likely although they are little pricey for rooms so prob do min room block and rest guests stay at ocean club west which is great too! I have stayed at OCW and grace bay club and my fiancé and I had our very first vacation and then again last year at T and C so want to get married there bc a special place to us. How are you handling transportation to rehearsal dinner? Paying for cabs/shuttle? What's proper etiquette for that for DW? Did you consider Coco bistro? Love that place for dinner. We are leaning towards beach BBQ for rehearsal dinner bc resort made reasonable for us but may consider coco bistro or coyoba. Thoughts? And who are you using for ceremony/cocktail hour for music? And DJ for reception?

Hi everyone! I am getting married at Seven Stars on 6.29.13! There is an on-site wedding coordinator, but I still need help! We are using Paradise Photo for the photography & possibly video (i have quote sheets for both Paradise & Brilliant, if anyone wants them..). But I am lost when it comes to entertainment! Any suggestions for acoustic musicians for the ceremony (in the sand) & reception, upbeat music?

Our wedding will be about 80-90 people & we want to party! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
